Myrka Cantu debuted on Unexpected Season 4 on TLC as a pregnant 15-year-old. She was expecting a child with boyfriend Ethan Ybarra. The Texas native had a rough road after revealing her pregnancy to her mother.
Her mom, Liliana Cantu Villareal, kicked Myrka out of the house when her daughter revealed she was pregnant. So, she was a pregnant teen with nowhere to live. Her baby daddy’s parents stepped up to help her on Unexpected.
However, since giving birth to daughter Attalie Ybarra, she reconciled with her mother. She remains close to Ethan’s mom, Michelle Ybarra as well, as chronicled by the Unexpected cameras.
A former cheerleader, Myrka and Ethan are one of the few couples from the show that stuck together. Although the reality teen openly interacts with fans, Myrka Cantu tends to shield her daughter from attention.
Unexpected showed the Texan teen’s journey to motherhood along with the ups and downs. After her mom kicked her out, she moved in with Ethan and his parents. Later, she and her baby daddy got engaged.
Today, the couple remains together and are making a go of it as parents. They still plan to marry and raise their daughter together. And it seems the road’s less rough these days as she’s made up with her mom.
