Kate Gosselin Now Nurse in NC – Can You Say Bedside Manner?
Kate Gosselin of Kate Plus 8 fame recently moved to North Carolina where she obtained a nursing license to practice nursing in her new state. While Kate has been a nurse for years, it appears as if she hasn’t practiced that trade in a very long time.
Today the followers of Kate Gosselin want to know if she plans to support herself as a nurse in her new home state. After all, TLC severed ties with her a while back so that source of income has been long gone for the controversial mother of sextuplets and twins.
Kate Gosselin’s Bedside Manner?
When Jon and Kate Plus 8 first hit the screen back in 2007, Kate Gosselin worked in the nursing field. But as most fans of the show remember, she got bit by the fame bug. So, it seems her nursing took a back seat to the cameras.
As she pursued a career in front of the camera, fans of her reality shows found her very controversial as a wife and a mom. After watching Kate demonstrate her social skills through the years, fans often wondered what her bedside manner would look like.
So they’ve pictured her coming at them with a blood pressure cuff or with a long needle. The fans had a field day with this after seeing Kate Gosselin’s temper rise on her reality shows.
So, while some people wonder, others do one better and offer theories on what you might experience with Kate Gosselin as your nurse. Despite not needing her nursing skills for her reality show, with eight kids those skills probably came in very handy.
But as far as anyone remembers she didn’t hold down a job as a nurse once she became a well-known face in reality television.
Out Of Practice?
Just how in or out of practice is Kate Gosselin today when it comes to her nursing career? This is anyone’s guess. Although her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, slammed this nurse publicly for not using her nursing skills at the height of the COVID epidemic.
Towns and cities nationwide begged for all the help they could get. Jon was quick to point out his ex-wife didn’t heed that call. At the time, fans didn’t seem too surprised by this.

Reports indicate right now that Kate carries nursing licenses from two states. Apparently, she kept her license up in Pennsylvania even though it appeared she never used it once gaining nationwide fame. That is due to expire on October 31, 2021.
Her new license for practicing nursing in North Carolina was issued back in June, according to reports. So, while she’s probably out of practice, is this her next move?
Despite all the Kate Gosselin bashing that occurred over the last decade, the mom of eight still has a good size fan base who shares the same mindset as the fan who tweeted about this TV mom above.
Fans Imagine Looking Up To See TV Mom By Their Bed
There’s no secret about Kate Gosselin gathering critics through the years. She did not appear able to hid her emotions with the camera rolling.
As fans have witnessed, this mom didn’t stow her anger away until the cameras shut down. If something didn’t suit her, she’d often blow up. Whether it was the kids or her husband Jon that rubbed her the wrong way, she’d let go.
This would often add to the chaos. One of the more memorable strings of incidents highlighting Kate’s awful temper played out on a road trip. She and a few friends took all 8 kids in RVs to visit some of the nation’s historic sites.
Kate blew a gasket when things didn’t go just as she planned. Like when someone ate the food that was designated for someone else, you’d swear a crime had been committed.
This famous mother of eight ranted and raved to the point her two friends with her on the trip threatened to leave. The kids cried as Kate screamed. You can see part of this incident in the video above. The clip shows just a piece of this journey from a decade ago.
Well, let’s just say Kate Gosselin is known for having a short fuse. So when fans ponder what it would be like to wake up in a hospital with her there to care for you, some shudder.
Although you never know, maybe she does have a bedside manner just spilling over with caring and kindness. But if you ask a fan their take on having Kate Gosselin as a nurse, well, let’s just say don’t be surprised if they prefer to take their chances with someone unknown instead.
