1000-lb Sisters exes Tammy Slaton and Jerry Sykes are reunited but she lost her reality gig — a source exclusively told Soap Dirt. The insider told us when they reunited and where he’s at now. They also filled us in on Tammy’s current health issues. Here’s the latest on the TLC star.
1000-lb Sisters: Tammy Slaton in Rehab Now — in Hospital for Months
Our source told us that Tammy Slaton’s been in medical rehab for several months. Before that, they said Amy Slaton’s sibling was in the hospital off and on for months.
They also said she could remain in rehab for a total of six months because of her health complications. We reported before that Tammy was in a medical facility for all of 2022.

And the foundation for all this just aired at the end of the season on their TLC show. Tammy filmed herself drinking and vaping. And she recently referred to herself as an ex “pothead”. Amy worried she was spiraling. And Chris Combs did too.
In fact, it was Chris Combs that got her to agree to head to food rehab again. But, as the season ended, she went into respiratory distress. That sent her to the hospital to save her life. From there, Tammy went to rehab where she’s remained ever since.
Jerry Sykes Back with 1000-Lb Sisters Diva?
The insider told SD that Jerry Sykes reunited with Tammy Slaton. And they confirmed also that his relationship with Ashley Taylor’s done. Per the source, he and Ashley T, from My 600-Lb Life, couldn’t make things work.
While Jerry hasn’t posted any photos recently, we’re told he traveled to Kentucky more than a month ago. We’re told he’d been talking to Tammy and they reunited. And the insider says Tammy’s footing the bills for Jerry.
Another juicy tidbit we heard is that Jerry’s living in Tammy Slaton’s duplex while she’s in rehab. While neither’s posting pics of each other, our source was very clear that they’re back together.
On social media, Tammy’s spotted with a guy at the rehab center but they seem to be just friends. And Tammy laughed it off when a filter suggested her ex could be her Valentine a couple of weeks ago. But is she already back with Jerry?
Tammy Dropped by Management Company Too?
Another piece of info came from the leaker close to the 1000-lb Sisters situation. They said Tammy’s management company dropped her. Why? The source told SD it was because she’s not moving forward in her journey.
With her not losing weight this season, she’s reportedly in violation of her contract. Of course, Tammy hasn’t come clean on any of this. But these are fresh allegations…
We reported recently that 1000-lb Best Friends might replace the Slaton’s on TLC. Now, this theory might have legs based on this new information.
Did 1000-lb Sisters Production Fire Tammy?
In with the slew of information leaked to Soap Dirt came this tidbit. We were told that there may not be another season of their TLC show. And if so, Tammy Slaton won’t be part of it, says the leaker.
They said her talent company and the production company axed her for contract violations. Reportedly her contract mandated she’d lose enough weight in Season 3 to get her bariatric surgery. And that didn’t happen.
Their show’s made by Atlanta-based company, Crazy Legs Productions. Of interest is that the same company just launched 1000-Lb Friends. So, did they cut their one half-ton show and replace it with another?
As always, leaks should be taken with a grain of salt. But the source showed us some messages that seem to confirm the info. We’ll update you when we learn more. The last episode aired almost a month ago and still no renewal for Season 4…
