90 Day Fiance: The Other Way – Sumit Singh’s Sister Died
There were some deaths that predated the TLC series but impacted events seen on screen. So, we’ve included those in this list of lives lost on 90 Day Fiance.
One of these was the death of Sumit Singh’s sister. When the little girl was eight months old, she’d died of jaundice. That was when Sumit was also young.
Then, when he married his Indian wife, his mom, Sadna Singh, saw her as a surrogate daughter. So, when he brought much-older Jenny Slatten into his life and divorced his spouse, his mom raged at him.
He revealed his younger sister’s death on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, in October of 2021. And he said his mother blamed Jenny for losing what would have been a replacement daughter.

As they began on the TLC show, Bini lived with his older brother and sister-in-law in a tiny home. His parents passed of an illness when he was a teen.
So, his older siblings took over care of him after their parents died. And since they were parenting the 90 Day Fiance star, they began calling him “baby”.
90 Day Fiance’s Infamous Geoffrey Paschel Lost His Young Son
By now, most viewers know that Geoffrey Paschel’s in prison for a lengthy stint, convicted of domestic assault, aggravated kidnapping, and interference with a 911 call. He’ll be behind bars for 18 years with no chance of parole unless he seeks and wins an appeal.
But during his run on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days with Varya Malina, we learned of a terrible tragedy in his life. His son, Kazhem Paschel died at just 13 months old.
The little boy suffered seizures and passed away in hospital in March 6, 2018. As Geoffrey’s in prison now, Varya’s taken over running his household and businesses. That includes tending to the grave of little Kazhem.
Tiffany Franco’s Ex Died – Daniel Rivera’s Father Passed
Fan-favorite Tiffany Franco’s been off and on again with her South African husband Ronald Smith. At present, they’re on again. Throughout their relationship, viewers saw Ronald bonding with her son, Daniel Ramos.
On 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, even before the duo met in person, Daniel was already calling Ronald “daddy”. And Tiffany said that her son’s father, Roger Ramos, was fine with her relocating with their son.
Later, Tiffany revealed that Daniel’s father Roger was killed in a horrible workplace accident. Daniel was eight when his biological father passed. His dad was shot while breaking up a bar fight at his job and died on October 7, 2018, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Angela Deem’s Mother Passed Away After Michael Ilesanmi Wedding
The first death of someone that appeared on a 90 Day Fiance series came in 2020 when Angela Deem lost her mother. Viewers saw her spending time with her ailing mom, Glenda Standridge, before she went back to Nigeria to marry Michael Ilesanmi.
She worried about her mother but had made all her wedding plans already. And Glenda encouraged Angela to go ahead and leave Georgia to marry her honey. So, she went and they got married, and then she was hit with the worst news.
While still in Nigeria, newlywed Angela Deem heard that her mom passed away. She married Michael on January 27, 2020, with cameras rolling for 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After.
Her mother passed less than two weeks later. Glenda Standridge died on February 8, 2020, in Hazlehurst, Georgia at age 77 of cancer. Now, Angela’s still awaiting Michael’s arrival in America, since his CR-1 spousal visa’s been approved already.
90 Day Fiance’s Annie Suwan’s Mother Passed Away
In 2020, 90 Day Fiance spouses Annie Suwan and husband David Toborowsky each lost someone near and dear to them. On April 16, 2020, Annie’s grandfather died.
She’d been able to visit him one last time before he passed when she and David went back to her native Thailand. Then, a few months later, David also had a stunning loss.
David Toborwosky’s Father Dies
Then, a few months after Annie’s mother died, her husband David also had a stunning loss.
On Friday, December 4, 2020, David’s dad, Murray Toborowsky died unexpectedly at age 80.
Annie said that David Toborowsky ‘s father was the “love of his life”. That was a rough year for the fan-fave duo.
Who Died on 90 Day Fiance? Jason Hitch From Season 1
Fans met Jason Histon on 90 Day Fiance Season 1. The Floridian was 38 as the show aired and romanced Cassia Tavares from Brazil who was 15 years younger. Although they married on the show, they divorced in 2018 after he filed, dismissed, then refiled.
Almost three years later, Cassia announced in early 2021 that she’d married an Italian man named Giuseppe. Jason Hitch died nine months after she remarried on December 14, 2021, at age 45 from complications of COVID-19.
Jason’s sister Shannon blamed his unvaccinated status for his death and revealed they had bickered about him not getting the shot. She said she saw the virus “ravage” the healthy 90 Day Fiance star. She said he passed away with her and his father at his side.
Kimberly Menzies from Before the 90 Days Loses Mother
Kimberly Menzies’ mom appeared on the TLC show alongside her daughter. That’s when viewers found out Sally Humphrey had Rheumatoid Arthritis and that Kim was her mom’s primary caretaker.
Kimberly stressed about going to meet Usman Umar in Africa because it would take her from her mom. But, on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days, her mother encouraged her. Then, on January 10, 2022, Kim’s mom passed away from her illness.
In a loving tribute to her mom, she called her “best friend”. Usman also shared a sweet tribute to “Mommey” as he called her. Kimberly said her mom Sally liked Usman and had a good relationship with him.
Tim Malcolm Grieving Tragic Family Loss to Cancer
A more recent 90 Day Fiance death was in Tim Malcolm’s family. You’ll remember Tim with Jeniffer Tarazona in Before the 90 Days Season 3. Tim’s also shown up on TLC on Pillow Talk and Diaries.
It was on 90 Day Diaries where he mentioned his sister-in-law Tonda Malcolm, who’s married to his older brother Shayne Malcolm. After a long battle with cancer, Tonda lost her struggle on March 19, 2022.
Tim shared the news on social media with his brother Shayne at his side. He said that his SIL gave cancer an “a** whooping” even though she eventually lost the fight. Tonda also worked as Tim’s assistant and he considered her his sister too.
Saddest 90 Day Fiance Loss — Robert Springs & Anny Francisco Lose Baby
On 90 Day Fiance, Anny Francisco Mato moved to the US to marry Robert Springs. He had five children already and was a full-time single dad to son Bryson Springs. After they married, they began adding to his brood.
In July 2020, Anny gave birth to their daughter, Brenda Springs. A little over a year later, they had son Adriel Hassan Springs on September 7, 2021.
While she was pregnant, she revealed they had a “healthy” baby on the way. But just seven months after giving birth, they’d lost the baby. Anny shared a photo of Adriel before he went into surgery, calling him a fighter
But she said Adriel Springs’ “heart couldn’t take it”. He passed away on April 20, 2022. Robert said, of losing their son, “This hurts a lot. I’m confused”.
