First appearing on the TLC reality series 90 Day Fiance, Angela Deem is a go getting Southern granny that shines for the cameras. Living in Hazlehurst, Georgia with her two daughters and six grandchildren keep her spinning in all directions. In her down time, she browses social media and linked up with her husband Michael Ilesanmi from Lagos, Nigeria.
With her quick quips and southern sass, you can’t help but love to laugh with Angela Deem. She makes light of most things, except her weight. After finding the love of her life, she began to get very concerned about her health. Wanting to stay around a long time to enjoy her family, Angela started a weight loss journey. But, she does not want to stop smoking no matter how bad for her health it is.
Angela Deem decided to have several procedures to assist her in weight loss. Her husband did not want her to have any medical modifications to her perfect-for-him body. She only told Michael a series of half truths about what she was actually having done. We all get to watch the drama on the spin-off 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After.
The doctors tell Angela Deem she will need multiple surgeries including gastric sleeve surgery, breast reduction and excess skin removal. Angela is concerned she may have bitten off more than she can chew. She is more afraid that her husband, Michael won’t find her attractive as a “skinny-mini”.
