‘Sister Wives’: Meri and Kody Brown Detail Split Differently as New Season Starts
Sister Wives star Meri Brown reveals a split with Kody Brown but it’s much more complicated than a man and his bride calling it quits. For lack of a better term, the TLC stars Meri and Kody Brown “split” when it comes to their marital relationship. Kody himself said he no longer lives with Meri. Now Meri Brown sheds more light on where this Sister Wives couple stands today.
Sister Wives: Meri Brown and Kody Brown In Their Own Words…
With the new Sister Wives season rolling out tonight, fans get a feel for where Meri and Kody stand in the scheme of things. All the turbulence witnessed last season seems to carry over to the new Season 15. But the first bride of the family explained a few things before the first episode airs.
When the new Sister Wives trailer surfaced, it featured a few different clips from both this husband and his first bride. Kody Brown described how sex and romance are reserved for people in love. Meri Brown claimed she can’t make Kody love her.
From this alone, it appeared as if Meri still attempted to get back her marriage with Kody. But it also sounded as if the Sister Wives patriarch’s brick wall of rejection remains up.
Navigating a Split
In a traditional marriage, a divorce usually means the couple resides separately. The kids either bunk with one parent or take turns with both, spending half their time with each parent. But this Sister Wives marriage consists of more than a husband and kids, the three other wives are also part of her family as well.
Meri Brown and Kody Brown already live separately and share one adult child together, so no custody concerns come into play. It seems since the couple already live apart, there wasn’t much of a split to happen, geographically that is.
The Sister Wives matriarch remains with the family. A split for them appears much more complicated than in a traditional marriage. Like… who gets custody of Christine, Janelle, and Robyn Brown?
Sister Wives: Still Figuring It Out?
In a recent interview with People Magazine, Meri explained that she and her Sister Wives husband are attempting to figure things out. She said: “We’re figuring out where we are”. In the new season, wife Robyn talks to the camera and reveals that Meri and Kody’s relationship is sad.
So, while these two hash it out, the other wives feel the stress from this as well. It ripples across the entire family at times. It appears that each of the other wives remains invested in this relationship, some more so than others. Some of the women act like sisters, which is how it’s supposed to work.
Still, what this shared husband describes as a split, Meri describes as a couple attempting to define their relationship today. Not living together anymore is a split for most folks.
But the first bride not leaving the rest of the family means she still within the Sister Wives unit. Apparently, when asking if this couple is still together, that answer depends upon who it’s coming from.
