‘Sister Wives’: Is Kody Brown Really Broke?
Sister Wives star Kody Brown reportedly has a tough time making ends meet. The TLC star claims he suffers from financial difficulties and is nearly broke.
Things have been reportedly pretty tight for Brown and his family for the past few years. So tight that reports reveal that he has taken out multiple emergency loans to get by.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown Claims He Is Nearly Broke
Reality television fans are curious how Kody Brown’s finances have gotten into such a dire state? Sources say the entire Brown family combined brings around $40,000 per episode of Sister Wives. This does not include the various multiple streams of income brought in.
Celebrity Net Worth reveals that in 2022 Kody alone has a net worth of $800,000. So, this leads fans to question if Kody is really as broke as he claims, or is he hiding funds from his wives?
Over the years, Brown has made some questionable purchases. In 2018, he purchased the Coyote Pass property in Arizona.
Is It Time for Kody to Find a New Job?
Brown’s original plan was to build a family complex to house his Sister Wives and children. However, the property at this time remains untouched. This, per his wives, Janelle Brown, Meri Brown, Robyn Brown, and then Christine Brown, was a decision Kody made on his own.
Since the plans for the family complex appear to have come to a halt. There is now the added expense of the wives’ homes. Kody and Robyn Brown live in one home, which they have a mortgage on. At one time, Janelle was living in an RV on Coyote Pass. Although she is currently renting a house, she may go back once the weather warms up in Flagstaff.
Meri and Janelle continue to run successful businesses on their own to help supplement their incomes. So, with Kody Brown allegedly being responsible for the support of two wives and 5 kids under the age of 18, this could explain why the family resources are so tight. It also explains why Meri and Janelle continue to work at their other jobs around the filming schedules.
But, according to reports, fans do not understand why he and Robyn are currently not finding ways to supplement their incomes as well.
TLC Family Struggling to Keep Their Relationships Together
Sister Wives fans feel there is something a bit shady about Kody’s claims of being broke. If Kody and his family are struggling financially, why isn’t Robyn Brown also working a job outside of reality television? Fans feel the numbers are just not adding up.

They also believe this could be one of the many reasons Kody Brown is also suffering relationship difficulties with Meri and Janelle.
However, with reports of animosity building between the women and Kody, fans are wondering just how much longer he will have the reality series to fall back on?
