‘Sister Wives’: Kody Brown Reveals New Job and Title for Manual Labor Work

Sister Wives star Kody Brown breaks his silence today to explain what he is doing now for work, which is a job that also comes with a title. Who knew that Kody Brown was as enterprising as he recently revealed to a unique group of fans.

Sister Wives: How Does Kody Brown Make A Living?

For the longest time, fans thought the Sister Wives patriarch worked as the family manager only.

But, here is what Kody Brown does for a living.

He has an entertainment LLC that seemed to indicate he takes care of the family’s finances. This would include the income they make for their Sister Wives show.

But low and behold, that is not the only thing Kody Brown works at. He actually offers up his title for his career. He claims he is a merchant of collectibles. This includes precious metals as well. So what does he do with these items?

Kody said he’s an entrepreneur and he and his partner do trade shows with their wares. Now that sounds like manual labor. Before this Kody did most of his sales online. He also said how he’s always been a salesman and he still is while selling these collectibles.

Apparently, Kody’s partner is a silent partner because he didn’t divulge this person’s name. Along with revealing his own line of work, Kody Brown shared what his Sister Wives ladies do as well.

So What Is Kody’s Job? – Mothballed At The Moment

The Sister Wives family head said he’s been in this line of work for a few years. But due to the COVID way of life, he’s had to mothball his sales at trade shows for the last 18 months or so.

This sounds like his new line of work has not been very lucrative since the days of stay-at-home living emerged. Maybe he’s feeling the crunch financially from his mothballed business.

This may have something to do with Christine Brown putting her house on the market for about $200k more than she purchased it for three years ago. Maybe she’ll go into a rental while the profits go to help out the family.

Many fans think Christine’s house now on the market signifies her final goodbye to the Sister Wives clan, mainly Kody Brown. But maybe she’s decided to sell the house for some liquid cash on hand for the Brown tribe.

That is if that cookie jar for pooling all their finances is still intact. For years all monies made went into one pot and that pot supported the entire family with their four separate Sister Wives households.

Sister Wives: Janelle Brown Roughs It With Nature

Money problems that stem from Kody’s lack of work might also suggest why Janelle Brown is living in an RV parked on Coyote Pass. She said once her rental home was sold, part of her decision to try RV life had to do with owning the land.

Why pay rent when the property that you own sits vacant became part of the second wife’s motto for her recent move. The other part of this decision for Janelle was to fulfill a life-long dream of hers to live in a house with tires.

It’s possible the Sister Wives family fell on even harder times than they have in the past with finances. Since the TLC series hit the screen, one theme that seems to remain the same for Kody Brown is money problems.

Sister Wives: Keeping Family Afloat?

Oh, but there’s more. It seems like Kody Brown is a treasure trove of Sister Wives updates whether he means to be or not. He answered a question about what he does for a living. This is when Kody Brown revealed his merchant of collectibles title.

He also said he wrote a best-selling book. He did leave out how this book had five co-authors and that it was published years ago back in 2013. Kody Brown, along with Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, Christine Brown, and Robyn Brown wrote that book together. It chronicled the making of the Sister Wives family.

But the family still struggles with finances. Below Kody talks about the money problems in a clip from one of the more recent Sister Wives seasons. One might say, same theme, just different seasons. This theme of money problems seemed to follow them from the first season and continues today.

Kody Brown also said that he does MLMs (multilevel marketing) or as Kody calls it network marketing. But not only does Kody Brown do this, but his Sister Wives ladies do this as well. While most fans knew this, it sounds as if they do a little more than their fans are aware of when it comes to selling products. 

But today Kody Brown claims that he’s got a few irons in the fire. So, it looks like the Sister Wives’ father of 18  is working on something for a lucrative future. Not to mention rumor has it, the Sister Wives series is a go for another season on TLC.
