‘Sister Wives’: Christine’s Dream Goes Dark after Meri’s Ridicule?

Sister Wives star Meri Brown didn’t mention Christine Brown while throwing stones. But the fans of this TLC show sure seemed to know who she aimed them at.

Sister Wives: Christine Brown Spin-Off Failed?

TLC gave Christine Brown her own digital show, Cooking with Just Christine. Not only was the ex-wife of Kody Brown thrilled, but she also said it’s always been her dream.

Nothing has been officially passed down from the Sister Wives producers about Christine’s kitchen happenings. But it looks like it came to a halt.

The segments aired on TLC’s Instagram on Sunday nights. After that, the network posted the segment for her fans to watch at a later time.

But it looks as if it’s been a few weeks since a new Cooking with Just Christine posted. This was first labeled as a trial run. So maybe that is over?

Family Affair for Christine

Christine livened it up a bit with her kids making appearances on her cooking show. The Sister Wives mom of six had both Truely Brown and Mykelti Brown Padron on a couple of the episodes.

Her only son, Paedon Brown did a lot of plugging for his mom’s show as well. He took to his social media sites and urged fans to watch his mom.

Sister Wives: Meri Brown - Christine Brown

Fans were thrilled for the third wife. She’s a fan favorite for many who watch Sister Wives. Plus she is the first to leave Kody Brown and his polygamous marriage. This alone earned her kudos with fans.

But there was someone who seemed a bit sour about Christine Brown being awarded a cooking show from TLC. That’s the first wife of Kody Brown.

Sister Wives: Meri Brown Throws Shade at Ex-Co-Wife

Meri Brown did some cooking on her show Fridays with Friends. This was not a TLC-sanctioned show like Christine Brown’s but she’s still going strong with it.

It seems she drew attention to a lot of similarities. But again, without mentioning her co-wife’s name. The Original Sister Wives matriarch calls her friend “Just Jenn.”

Jenn Sullivan is Meri Brown’s best friend. She is also the co-host of her online show. So, the first wife in the Brown seemed to make comparisons. It was just enough to get the fans to assume she was throwing shade on her cooking co-wife for stealing her concept.

Meri’s Long-Time Rival?

There’s likely not much love lost between these two Sister Wives brides. The duo had problems from the beginning of their plural marriage journey together.

Christine Brown said some rather hurtful things to Meri Brown on the show. When the first wife showed up for Madison Brown Brush’s first baby’s birth, everyone was behind closed doors. So, she just up and left.

Sister Wives: Meri Brown - Janelle Brown - Christine Brown - Robyn Brown - Kody Brown

Later Christine Brown insulted Meri to her face. She said she was fine with her not being there. Then she also told her co-wife that she tends to bring a lot of baggage with her when she comes. So, the fan sympathy went out to Meri for being slighted at the first grandchild’s birth.

Sister Wives: Jealousy Seeps in for Meri & Christine?

But even back in the beginning, Meri harbored angst for Kody’s third wife. When Janelle came on board the family, she was like Kody’s buddy. But wife number three was all about romance. This put Meri Brown in a place of competition and jealousy.

They never did strike up a close relationship. This is something both Meri and her co-wife admitted to during the more than a decade of interviews.

So, fans wonder if Meri had anything to do with Christine Brown’s cooking show slowly fading into the sunset. TLC didn’t seem to back Meri financially for her show like they did the cooking wife.

Sister Wives: Meri Brown - Janelle Brown - Christine Brown - Robyn Brown

Did TLC decide to cancel the show after Meri seemed to hint that Christine borrowed her concept? They might have seen it as unfair when doing this for Christine and not for Meri.

So, they might have done away with it altogether for that reason. Then there’s the chance that it didn’t draw in the number of viewers they expected.

It might have nothing to do with any of the other wives. Then it’s just a coincidence that the show seemed to go dark after one wife threw shade on the other.

Or did it just run its course of the few trial episodes that TLC promised? With that said, maybe with the new Sister Wives season on the way, everything is just on hold.
