Derek Sherman from Married at First Sight had too many dreams for Katie Conrad. He wanted to travel and live his life to the max and do interesting things. Katie, on the other hand, thought that Derek wanted too much out of life and should be realistic.

Married at First Sight star Derek Sherman doesn’t let reality stop him. Even with a worldwide pandemic, he decided he wanted to go visit Japan. He quarantined for a while before he got to get out and enjoy things, but he said it was worth it.

Derek said he felt enamored with the country’s food, culture, and people. Derek Sherman got to enjoy a lot while he was there, but before he left, he became temporarily homeless. A bit of a mishap left him with nowhere to go, but he found a solution.

Derek Stuck in Japan – No Place to Go

Married at First Sight hubby Derek Sherman loved Japan so much he accidentally found himself stuck there. He was ready to fly back after an amazing time in the beautiful country. But no one told him his flight time changed, so he totally missed his flight.

Derek from MAFS said he did finally get another flight. He got some food and sake. And then had to wait twelve hours before he could board his flight. The avid adventurer and music addict didn’t let the hiccup in his plans dampen his mood.

Derek Sherman said the Bamboo Forest in Kyoto was the most amazing forest he’d ever visited. Derek said it made him feel a sense of peace and awe. Fans of Married at First Sight said they love watching his adventures, and they’re glad he didn’t stop.

Despite a failed Married at First Sight marriage, Derek Sherman is happy with his life. He fills it with road trips, friends, and lots of amazing food. The pandemic did slow him down a little bit, but he’s back at it again with a vengeance.

Lifetime’s Derek said he definitely plans on going back to Japan. There was simply too much to see in the short time he was there. He said he felt sad he missed some of the things he wanted to do.
