Life After Lockup cast member Shane Whitlow is having difficulty adjusting to life with a new baby in the house. He hasn’t been helping Lacey and keeps disappearing for hours at a time. His wife wonders if he’s cheating because he’s never in the mood to be intimate. Can he salvage his marriage?
Life After Lockup: Shane Whitlow Overwhelmed By Responsibility
Shane Whitlow told fans of WEtv’s Life After Lockup that he was depressed after the baby was born.
He said he felt guys could get post-partum depression. Being a new dad has been harder than he ever thought it would be. He hasn’t been sleeping well, and having to take care of the baby is tough.
Since the birth of their daughter, Lacey needs more help because her back is messed up from the epidural. Shane said he felt bad that his family needed him and quit his job. The realities of taking care of a wife and family were just too much for him to take.
His partner tried to initiate some private time, but he was too tired on Life After Lockup. She and Shane of Life After Lockup used to share these type of moments up to six times a day, but now he never seems to be in the mood.
Lacey Feels Like a Single Mom
Shane Whitlow said he feels bad, but his life is harder than he anticipated with a new baby in the house. He knows his family needs him, but it’s too much for him to deal with. Lacey said she thought he would be a great father, but he has withdrawn from his responsibilities. She said he is not the dad she needs him to be on Life After Lockup.

Life After Lockup’s Shane left for the gym rather than staying to help with the baby, saying he’d be back in an hour or two. But Lacey told her dad, John, that he spends up to ten hours a day at the gym. John asked if he’s seeing someone else because of the amount of time he spends away from the house.
With Shane not working, they are struggling with bills on Life After Lockup. Her dad said he needs to go back to work and help out around the house. He said his son-in-law is a “meathead,” and he needs to be a dad instead. John said maybe he should look into joining the military.
