1000-Lb Sisters stars Tammy Slaton, Amy Slaton, and their half-sister Amanda Halterman engaged in a nasty confrontation that became physical. The family drama escalated so quickly that it reportedly left the film crew in such a state of shock that all Season 5 filming has halted.
1000-Lb Sisters: Sibling Squabble Between Amy, Tammy Slaton, & Amanda Halterman Turns Violent
Witnesses close to 1000-Lb Sisters Season 5 filming report that the tension between the family members has been thick since the start. The TLC reality family was in Florida filming vacation scenes for the upcoming season.
Sources say that cast members Chris Combs, Amanda Halterman, Amy, and Tammy were all on hand for the beach shoot. However, a sibling argument broke out among the family members.

Members of the crew were reportedly feeling uneasy due to the family tension. What was supposed to be a happy family trip turned very ugly. A close friend of the family states that the family “really got into it.”
It is unclear what set the 1000-Lb Sisters brawl off. What we do know per the family source is that Chris, Amanda, and both Tammy and Amy were very irritable. The source also says that once the verbal brawl got out of control and became physical Chris stepped away, leaving the three females to duke it out.
TLC Halts Season 5 Filming
The drama was apparently too much for the crew members on hand to deal with. So, in light of the family brawl, the TLC network has opted to halt filming of 1000-Lb Sisters. The show has shut down for at least six weeks. They feel the cast and crew need a time-out to cool down and work through their issues.
It is unknown what set Amy, Amanda, and Tammy off. However, the family has been struggling through a rough patch for the past several months. Between Amy and Tammy’s divorce drama followed by dealing with the unexpected death of her husband Caleb Willingham, the stress may have taken its toll on them.

No matter what may have set off the 1000-Lb Sisters throwdown, one thing is for certain, a break is needed. The network is reportedly doing everything possible to clear up the matter before they resume Season 5 filming. If the siblings fail to reach a suitable resolution, the network may be faced with a difficult decision. Possibly scrapping the entire season.
1000-Lb Sisters: Is Fame Becoming Too Much Pressure for Tammy & Amy Slaton Handle?
TLC viewers are concerned that the pressures of fame, and everyday life could have become too much. Especially with everything the Slaton sisters have been through. Amy’s split from her husband Michael Halterman has been extremely difficult on her. Especially where the couple’s young sons Gage Halterman and Glenn Halterman are concerned.

As for Tammy, she is still grieving Caleb’s death. Despite the couple’s split, she reveals Caleb was her best friend and she loved him dearly. With everything going on, it leads 1000-Lb Sisters fans to ask if the stress is more than Tammy Slaton, Amy Slaton, Amanda Halterman, and Chris Combs can deal with. Could this be the beginning of the end for the hit TLC series?
