When Calls The Heart Spoiler: Elizabeth Asks Nathan for a Date
In a new spoiler for When Calls The Heart, Nathan Grant meets Elizabeth Thornton on the general store’s steps. He mentions he’s going to look at Bill Avery’s (Jack Wagner) land before another potential buyer grabs it. Elizabeth thinks he’s taking it seriously to ride off so suddenly.
Nathan smiles at Elizabeth Thornton and says it’s time he settles down. As he walks past her to the doors, Elizabeth turns and calls out his name. On the other hand, Lucas Bouchard, the wealthy and worldly businessman, brings many good qualities as well. He is traveled and cultured. He takes her to poetry readings, and he helps with publishing her book. Will his wealth and connections be enough to sway Elizabeth Thornton’s heart in this season of When Calls The Heart?
WCTH: Nathan Keeps Secrets
On the premiere episode of Season 8 of Hallmark’s When Calls The Heart, Nathan Grant is not quite forthcoming with Elizabeth Thornton about a mystery man in town. Nathan’s brother-in-law threatens and blackmails him in exchange for a promise to stay away from Allie Grant (Jaeda Lily Miller). Hope Valley’s Mountie tosses him out of the office.
The men have another encounter out in the street, and Elizabeth later asks him about it. Her suitor looks withdrawn and makes an excuse that it’s just someone he’s had run-ins with before. Nathan Grant has another secret too. He borrows money from Lucas to pay off the blackmailer and keep Allie safe. When Calls The Heart promises many pitfalls and exciting storylines this season.
Both Nathan and Lucas care for the pretty teacher, but they have different ways of showing it. Nathan Grant is quieter and less assertive, but this season of WCTH will see his confidence grow. Lucas is bolder and more dynamic with his attentions. Nathan will have his work cut out for him if he hopes to sway Elizabeth Thornton’s affections.
