‘Sister Wives’: Kody Brown Plays Victim Card for Himself & Robyn Too
Sister Wives star Kody Brown does not handle rejection well. Things did not go as Kody had hoped during a meeting with his two spouses and one ex-wife, Robyn Brown, Janelle Brown, Meri Brown, and Christine Brown.
When he sees he’s losing control of the conversation, he got very emotional. Perhaps he’s trying to save face when he flips things around and shifts the blame on the TLC series.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown Tries To Turn The Tables
In the meeting on Sister Wives, Kody Brown seemed frustrated. Then, it looks like he tried to turn the tables on Christine Brown. He went off on Christine, blaming her for the breakup of their family.
He tells her that he has done everything throughout their marriage to appease her. Then, he accused her of using him. So, he says that he feels she was only ever interested in the family and not the man. He then compares her to Robyn.
The Sister Wives husband ranted and feels that she is rejecting both him and Robyn. To viewers, it may look like Kody’s playing the victim card not only for himself but also for Robyn Brown, saying wife three is rejecting Robyn and him.
Kody then says on the TLC show that Robyn came to the family, hat in hand, asking to be accepted. He says Robyn Brown would make any sacrifice to be loved and accepted by them. And now, he feels Christine rejected them both.
Sister Wives: Kody Ignores Feelings Of Janelle and Meri?
Christine Brown sits quietly on Sister Wives, listening to her ex play the victim. But he doesn’t defend Meri or Janelle or say they’re being left by his now ex-wife.
TLC viewers know that Kody Brown has made his feelings clear this season. He no longer considers Meri a wife and feels Janelle is siding with Christine. So he is mainly upset by his and Robyn Brown’s hurt feelings.
“[Christine] treated you like dirt from the very beginning,” he tells Robyn. “That’s the relationship you have with her. That’s the reason I’m angry.”

The looks on the other Sister Wives‘ faces make it easy to guess that they are annoyed by their husband’s reactions to the split. However, he doesn’t appear to notice.
He seems to be too wound up about himself, Robyn, and clapping back at his ex. His rage continues to mount, and he screams and gestures wildly. He says he feels like an investor who put everything he had into the relationship and came out a loser.
TLC Husband Accuses Ex Of Playing Games
The Sister Wives husband accuses Christine of playing games. Kody feels she has been plotting all along to make him out as the bad guy. He compares her to the Pied Piper and feels she is trying to lead their children away from him to follow her.
His rant is out of control, and he explodes with accusations. He continues his verbal attack saying she never cared about him, only the benefits he offered. He says it is like a “knife in the kidneys” after all the “sacrifices he made to love her” and calls out “wasted time”.
In the end, Kody stomps off looking like an angry child in a tantrum. In his Sister Wives confessional, he admits plural marriage isn’t easy. However, he also continues to blame his ex, saying, “I feel I’m in this hard lifestyle because of her.”
TLC viewers are seeing an angry side of Kody, who is unwilling to face reality. Some fans feel he is so distraught over the split that he may do something drastic to get even with his ex. Meanwhile, Robyn sat there looking upset as he went off.
