‘Sister Wives’: Is Robyn Brown above It All or Does She Tread Carefully?

Sister Wives star Robyn Brown is the only adult from this family who doesn’t get backlash for using fame to sell something. That’s because she doesn’t have a side gig like her co-wives. Robyn stays pretty much hidden from the public outside of filming for the TLC show.

Sister Wives: Robyn Brown Not Following in Their Footsteps

Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown often get slammed for selling products. They have hundreds of thousands of online followers. This makes a good foundation for the multi-level market sales they do.

So, Robyn’s co-wives and her shared husband fall back on their fame for side gigs. But it seems that Robyn Brown doesn’t follow that path. Fans often throw stones at the Sister Wives adults for using fame to either sell or endorse products.

That’s not because these ladies are working side jobs. The criticism is for the product their peddling to the public. Like Meri Brown with her top sales rep position for LuLaRoe.

There’s no denying she’s a hard worker. But the multi-level marketing company has some complaints against it.

That’s because some of the people who do what Meri does allegedly lost money buying into this sales gig. But Meri has a ready-made sales audience with about half of a million followers online.

Multi-Level Marketing Gigs Amongst the Sister Wives

Then the product that Christine and Janelle swear by has some complaints against it as well. Like LuLaRoe, the product they plug is from another multi-level marketing company, Plexus.

In a nutshell, much of the money made from these types of sales has to do with the number of people you can recruit.

Then these recruits also sell, giving you a percentage of their sales. Christine first announced her affiliation with the product a while back. She did so online to her Sister Wives followers.

When she did, she suggested many health-related issues it would help, as seen in the post above. Some irate fans referred to this as snake oil peddling. So, is it possible this is the type of negative attention that Robyn tries to avoid?

Sister Wives: Robyn Slammed for Lack of Work

So, Kody’s two wives and one ex-wife sell products to help with the family’s finances. But Robyn Brown doesn’t.

Fans jump on Robyn for not being a productive member of the Sister Wives family. All the Sister Wives adults except for Robyn Brown do Cameo videos for fans. This too pulls in extra money for the family.

Robyn Brown’s lack of work is a bone of contention among many fans. She also seems to have the lion’s share of luxury within Kody’s four separate families.

So, fans bash Robyn for not going the route the other adult Sister Wives travel to make ends meet. At one point Robyn had an online store, My Sister Wife’s Closet.

But for over two years now all you get is a message from the site that they are temporarily closed. The message also claims they are working on getting new products. Then it tells you they’ll be back soon.

Mystery Work?

Robyn Brown is the only adult in this Brown marriage who doesn’t seem to have any type of job as the others do. But she could be selling something and not using her name to draw attention.

While Robyn seems to live in the Sister Wives’ lap of luxury, she also gets a good majority of bashing. She said during past interviews that she’s considered a homewrecker among fans.

So, Robyn might not want to put her famous name out there. She’s already drawing enough criticism for the family falling apart. So why would she make herself a target?

Robyn Brown may be doing something behind the scenes to bring in extra money. If she is, you could see why she won’t make it public knowledge.

So, it looks like Robyn Brown gets criticized for not working an extra job. But the other Sister Wives adults get criticized because they do.
