‘Sister Wives’: Janelle a Free Woman But Official Word Delayed for Good Reason?
Sister Wives star Janelle Brown is footloose and fancy-free today, or at least that’s the picture painted by one of Kody Brown‘s adult kids. It sounds like the second wife of Kody Brown took the same path Christine Brown did over a year ago. So, while nothing official surfaces yet, there’s likely a good reason behind that for this TLC celebrity.
Sister Wives: Janelle Brown Bit Back Hard
Janelle Brown made it very easy to see she was fed up with Kody Brown during this latest season. She also seemed to feel the same about a couple of his other Sister Wives’ brides as well.
The mom of six didn’t mince her words, she came out with whatever she seemed to be feeling at the time. She didn’t appear to worry about any consequences coming from the man she married almost three decades ago.
She said on screen that Kody isn’t acting like a husband to her. Janelle also made a decision to buy an RV home without consulting with Kody Brown.
This ticked him off to the point that he had somewhat of a fit in front of the camera. Then his fourth and youngest wife had some discouraging words to share about her co-wife’s purchase as well.
Kody Brown said he won’t suffer in his second wife’s RV just because she chose to live in the tiny space. Then in another scene, he told her in front of the Sister Wives cameras that they hadn’t acted like a married couple in a long time.
Janelle Looks Like She’s On Her Own
The biggest hint that Janelle Brown is no longer with Kody came from Gwendlyn Brown. She made a video with her friend and she answered fans’ questions. People asked if she is still with Kody.
At first, Gwen skirted the issue by changing the subject. But when a fan asked if Kody only had Meri Brown and Robyn Brown left as wives, she said yes.
Then she backpedaled a bit and said that she thought so. This was all the fans needed. So, as far as they’re concerned — Janelle jumped ship, and they applaud her for it.
The latest Sister Wives wedding seemed to tell a story in photos about the fractured Brown family. Janelle and Kody are the parents of the groom, Logan Brown. But they didn’t sit together.
Kody, Robyn, and her kids sat on the other side of the aisle away from the rest of the Sister Wives clan. Logan is the first Brown son to marry. His parents are Kody and Janelle. But the groom’s parents did not pose for photos released for the fans.
This is unlike what they did at Madison Brown’s wedding. She, too, is the offspring of Janelle and Kody. So, it seemed very much to fans that Kody and Janelle’s marriage is kaput. Plus the second wife’s photos from real-time don’t include any of Kody.
Sister Wives: When Will She Make an Announcement?
If Janelle has left her shared husband as Gwendlyn Brown hinted, it might be a while until this Sister Wives mom of six says anything. But there’s likely a good reason that she wouldn’t share this with her fans yet.

This TLC series has strict non-disclosure contracts, which all the Sister Wives adults have referred to at one time or another. Kody has used this as an excuse not to answer certain fan questions in the past.
So, if there’s an announcement to make about Janelle, it is unlikely that you will hear it until this season ends. Or maybe even until the following season ends, if there is another season.
So, until then, what Gwendlyn shared via her recent video, is the closest thing to an official announcement that Janelle Brown left her husband.
