Return to Amish star Mama Mary Schmucker seems to feel that she was taken advantage of by the show. The series recently came back for a new season, but Mary didn’t return. And, she has a good reason why she didn’t come back.
Return to Amish: Mary Schmucker Feels Production Took Advantage of Cast
Mary Schmucker left the TLC show a few years ago when she decided to go back to the church. However, now that Return to Amish is back, fans are curious to know if she will be on another season. According to Mary, fans will not be seeing her on new episodes any time soon. She said she has no desire to work with the people she worked with while filming in the past. The only people Mary liked working with were the cast members. She even still keeps in contact with a few of them.

The Return to Amish reality star revealed that production had promised the cast so many things that didn’t happen. Mama Mary Schmucker felt that being Amish was a disadvantage. She believed that they were “dumb” and that production took advantage of that. Mary and the other cast members didn’t know what they were getting themselves into. But, it seems like after a few years of filming, they realized that something wasn’t right.
Mama Mary Thankful for Opportunity to Be On TV
Despite feeling that Mary Schmucker was being taken advantage of, she is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of a reality television show. The Return to Amish celeb felt that the show gave her the chance to do activities that she wouldn’t have been able to do otherwise. Being on the show allowed Mary to ride in a limo for the first time. She was also able to attend her first fashion show. Mary enjoyed every minute of all the new experiences she had, and for that, she is thankful for the show.
However, if given a chance to return, Mama Mary Schmucker would approach the opportunity differently this time around. The Return to Amish former cast member doesn’t doubt that she would love to go back to filming. But, she feels that if they want her back, she has the right to ask for what she wants. Yet, it seems like production won’t give Mary what she wants. If she makes a comeback, she wants to get paid.
Return to Amish Celeb Blames Jeremiah Raber for Drinking
Mary Schmucker had a lot of fun filming with her cast members. While on the show, she found herself drinking a lot of cranberry and vodka drinks. But, Mary is no longer drinking her favorite cocktails. According to Mary, Jeremiah Raber was the reason why she drank. Yet, now that she isn’t around him often, she doesn’t drink anymore. She felt that she had to keep up with Jeremiah when they drank together.
The Return to Amish TLC star feels that Jeremiah Raber is a great person. However, Mama Mary Schmucker hopes that he doesn’t find out that he’s why she drank alcohol. She believes that he would probably be mad at her. But, she also knows that he would laugh about it. If it weren’t for the show, Mary and Jeremiah wouldn’t have met.
Mary Schmucker does keep in contact with Jeremiah Raber. He is one of the few cast members that she still talks to. However, she hasn’t spoken to him in a while. Jeremiah seems to be a busy guy. He was recently in Las Vegas visiting his biological grandmother for the first time.
