Mary Schmucker couldn’t keep her English possessions when she went back to her strict lifestyle. However, the Return to Amish celeb kept one item — her cell phone. Cellphones are a no-go in the Amish community. But, Mary likes to use it to stay in contact with people. Yet, if she wants to keep it she has to hide it from others.
The Return to Amish reality star recently caught up with some fans. Yet, throughout the conversation, Mama Mary Schmucker had to keep an eye out for her neighbors. She suddenly had to cut the video short and said that the people who live next to her had to go out for a bit. But, that they would return home soon.
According to Mary Schmucker, she can’t “jump on” her cell phone when her neighbors are home. It seems like she has been keeping her English possession a secret from them. She said that it’s a “don’t tell the b**ch about the phone” situation. So, Mary had to put her “toy toy” away before they catch her using it.
Mama Mary Enjoys Riding Her Bike
While Mary Schmucker was experiencing the English world, she decided to get her driver’s license. The Return to Amish former cast member even bought herself a car. However, Mary had to leave it all behind when she went back to the church.
But, it seems like Mama Mary Schmucker from Return to Amish doesn’t miss her car. Now, her main form of transportation is her bike, and she loves it. She is no longer stuck at home and can go out. She can hit the road and go where she wants. One thing Mary likes about the area she lives in is that she can ride her bike everywhere. She and her husband don’t have to take their horse and buggy all the time.
Mary Schmucker loves riding bikes with Chester Schmucker. However, according to the TLC star, she sometimes has to slow down so her husband can catch up to her. She said that Chester is a “slowpoke,” and that he can only go 14 miles per hour.

Return to Amish Celeb Leaving Community?
Mary Schmucker did briefly leave the Amish world. Fans saw as she experienced life in the outside world. Mary had a great time getting to do the things she had always wanted to do. But, not living the strict lifestyle put a lot of strain on her marriage, and other family relationships. So, Mary thought it would be best to go back.
Returning to the Amish community was not easy for Mama Mary Schmucker. The Return to Amish star had to get back into the church’s good books. She was shunned and had to do everything asked of her before she would be welcomed back. That meant she had to give up all her English items. Eventually, Mary got back in.
Mary Schmucker may still be using a cellphone, yet she has no plans to leave the Amish lifestyle. However, she also doesn’t plan to let anyone tell her what to do. So, if Mary wants a cell phone she is going to have one. But, she will have to keep it a secret to avoid getting in trouble.
