Married at First Sight‘s Henry Rodriguez and fellow husband, Brett Lindsey, enjoyed their honeymoon with their wives and the other married couples on the latest episode of the Lifetime show. And, now that viewers see how each of the pairs interact with one another, some MAFS fans think the experts got it wrong.
Married at First Sight: Brett Lindsey & Olivia a Bad Match?
Brett Lindsey is an easy target early on Married at First Sight. He was tagged as the villain this season. And, it’s something Brett openly embraces online. Brett is outspoken, sarcastic, and definitely the adventure-seeking type. Meanwhile, wife Olivia is a lot more soft-spoken.
The old adage of opposites attract definitely applies to these two. Brett Lindsey is a serial dater. And, he uses things like dating apps liberally. Meanwhile, Olivia said in Married at First Sight episodes that she was single for almost four years before she went on the show. So, there are definitely some things that don’t line up early.
MAFS: Henry Rodriguez Too Tame for Christina?
Like Brett Lindsey, new Married at First Sight wife, Christina, has a very outgoing personality. She’s definitely loud, extroverted, and likes to speak her mind. Yet, the experts chose someone that seems to be the complete opposite of her for a husband in Henry Rodriguez.
Henry Rodriguez comes across as shy and introverted in the New Orleans season of Married at First Sight. Henry is the stereotypical “nice guy”. And, while that’s not necessarily a bad thing, it may not be what Christina needs in a husband. Henry Rodriguez’s dad said he’s a “mama’s boy”. And, he encouraged Christina to “dominate” him. But, that may not be something she wants to do.
Did the Married at First Sight Mentors Get it Wrong?
A few episodes into Married at First Sight, many viewers wonder if the experts got it wrong with these pairs. Many feel things would’ve lined up better if Henry Rodriguez and Brett swapped wives. And, there’s definitely some merit to the ongoing discussion.
Brett Lindsey’s outgoing personality definitely matches qualities Christina has. They’re both extroverted, loud, and like to grab attention. It’s possible the Married at First Sight experts thought they might be too similar. But, some watchers think production did this knowingly to cause drama.
MAFS: Henry Rodriguez & Olivia Would Make a Great Match?
Meanwhile, when it comes to Henry Rodriguez and Olivia, they definitely are more of a match when it comes to temperament. Both are soft-spoken, quiet, and much more introverted than their current spouses. It’s possible the experts felt both Henry and Olivia needed an extroverted personality to really bring them out of their shells. But, a lot of fans think the experts got it wrong with these matches.
In addition, Married at First Sight spoilers reveal both couples go their separate ways on Decision Day. So, that definitely adds more fuel to that fire. Meanwhile, whether or not the outcome would be different if the swap happened is something watchers will never know.
