New love Shay calls Michael out on coming across as a habitual liar, and asks what was going on? Michael Watson says a lot was going on during the Married at First Sight Lifetime experiment. He says the truth is he wasn’t honest and he didn’t tell the truth about a lot of things. He acknowledges it wasn’t a good look for him.
Fans of Married at First Sight have the right to feel how they feel about him. Michael accepts that viewer comments about his actions are accurate. Shay takes him head-on with the accusations about his job and finances and the offer letter he produced for the show. Michael Watson explained he changed jobs and his new contract wasn’t what he expected.
He felt pressure to present himself as better than he is so he lied about the numbers to make himself look more successful. Michael said he was frankly embarrassed and that his reality show life on Married at First Sight and his real-life converged. The two worlds together did not give him a good look, so he embellished the truth.
Michael Explains Yoga-Gate & if he was a Janitor
Shay asks Michael Watson about the yoga incident. His explanation is that it just got out of hand. He is a yoga enthusiast and is a trained instructor. Meka Jones met him at the studio he instructs at, but it wasn’t his night to work. Michael said there was a miscommunication and the whole thing took on a life of its own with Married at First Sight fans.
Michael says he loves yoga and misses it due to the pandemic. But as for that night, does he do yoga, and does he teach? Yes and yes. Was he teaching that night? No. Shay then asks about him being a janitor at the studio. Married at First Sight celeb Michael Watson said he wasn’t the janitor, per se.
Instead, MAFS star Michael Watson says he traded off membership fees in exchange for cleaning the studio a few hours each week. He gets classes for free and the building stays clean. It’s a win-win for both him and the studio. He sees it as a common-sense decision to pay for classes with a few hours of his time each week rather than a financial commitment.

Michael tells Shay he “checked out” during the taping of MAFS. He just didn’t care anymore, but he was obligated to finish the contract. Shay asks about his sexual demands because she was warned early on to be careful of him. Michael Watson explained that was a joke in mixed company that went left. He didn’t address it then, so it got away from him and he regrets it now.
Married at First Sight star Michael Watson says there are many things he can’t discuss due to the disclosure agreement. Are there things he wishes he could go back and do-over? Yes. But he can’t change it now. All he can do is own it. And he says that’s what he’s doing now with this video. Michael makes an apology for all the things that went wrong for him.
