Kody Brown Snaps with Disdain at Meri Brown

If you ever wondered if the patriarch and his original bride may patch things up — think again. It’s clear that Kody Brown can’t get over Meri’s catfishing incident.

It starts with the host and Kody alone and chatting. When she asks him about Meri, he gets irritated. “There’s just nothing to talk about really,” he says.

When the host asked him if he’ll leave Meri, he seems aggravated. Kody snaps back that “it’s a double standard.” He explains his Sister Wives can leave him whenever they want. But he cannot leave them. He said he’s “trapped”.

Sukanya suggests that Kody already left Meri Brown saying he “abandoned her emotionally.” That riles him up and he demands Sukanya take it back. Kody Brown insists she takes back the word “abandon” and said it offends him.

Then, Kody claps back at the host that Meri had an affair. He also says, “she was leaving my a**.” He claims she found a “better, richer man” and was leaving him for this guy. But she got caught up in an online scam.

He said she told everyone she was leaving him for this person. When it is Meri’s turn on One on One, she says she wasn’t leaving. Kody claims the family “circled the wagons.”

He says all the Sister Wives did this to protect her after she was caught by a catfish. InTouch revisited the drama. He says she didn’t think she did anything wrong. So, Kody says that she sees herself as a victim. But he makes clear he was the real victim.

Meri Claims Catfishing Wasn’t Defining Moment

Meri Brown brushes off claims that the catfish scandal was the final blow to their marriage. But she stops short of saying what was. Meri’s take — she thought they discussed the issue and it’s resolved. She doesn’t see it as a big deal anymore.

But the patriarch of the Brown family sees what he calls a “hardness in their marriage.” After counseling, he decided their relationship would never change. So, he shut the door on intimacy with Meri.

He doesn’t sound like that will change in the future. It’s obvious that Meri Brown wants what they once had. But not Kody Brown. He claims he cannot leave her, but she can leave him. So, is he trying to drive her away but she won’t go?
