Kate Gosselin’s name still stands for much more than a celebrity mom today, long after the lights went dark on her TLC show. When the cameras followed her around for her now-defunct reality shows, she was in her glory.
But the cameras brought her much more than fame. She became the poster wife and mother for many of the fans of her reality series.
Fans saw this mom of eight lacking parenting skills. They watched as she belittled her husband. But after all this time, another mom emerges, and some fans are ready to pass Kate’s crown to her.

When Kate Gosselin first graced the screen with her husband Jon Gosselin, the couple became a curiosity to fans. With twins and sextuplets, viewers tuned in to see how the couple parented this brood.
But then Kate emerged as a mom who struggled to keep it together. She often let loose with the cameras rolling. And it didn’t take long to see a divided house forming as Kate screamed and yelled her way through some hectic days.
Her history speaks for itself, after her divorce from Jon, she took charge of all the kids. This resulted in institutionalizing a son and alienating a daughter, who left Kate to live with her dad. So, the name Kate Gosselin became a term often used simultaneously for bad parenting. And that’s still the same today.
About to Pass the Crown?
Another set of parents has captured the attention of fans on the TLC network. That’s the Outdaughtered couple, Adam and Danielle Bubsy. Much like Kate and Jon, one birth with multiple babies awarded them a ticket to fame.
The Bubsy couple has a 13-year-old daughter and quintuplets, all girls, who are nine years old. When the novelty of watching all these young girls and their parents navigate daily life wore off, the attention seemed to go to Danielle Bubsy and her behavior.
Another Kate In the Wings?
Fans now see Danielle Bubsy as the new Kate Gosselin. Viewers suggest that the way Danielle treats her husband, Adam, is the way Kate treated her husband, Jon, back in the day.
For this reason, Outdaughtered viewers see a divorce in their cards. Fans say, much like Kate Gosselin, Danielle complains Adam doesn’t do anything. But when he does do something for her, she complains it’s not good enough for her standards. Today, fans suggest that Danielle could use some therapy.
So, it looks like Kate Gosselin got to pass her crown, if only in the eyes of a handful of fans. But for other fans, Danielle has a little further to go before she can wear the same crown stuck on Kate Gosselin’s head all these years.
