1000-lb Sisters‘ Tammy Slaton is now thinner than ever despite what we’re seeing on Season 4 of her TLC show. Some brand new photos of her at rehab show a drastically slimmer woman after her bariatric surgery.
1000-lb Sisters Season 3: Tammy Slaton Slid to Rock Bottom
Tammy Slaton is now in a very different situation than she was as Season 3 of their show ended on TLC. You may recall that she was partying all the time as well as constant emotional eating.
Plus, Tammy on 1000-lb Sisters reached a point where she simply didn’t seem to care that she was putting her life at risk. Aside from trips to the liquor store with her enabling “friends”, Tammy was housebound and mostly immobile.
Her weight continued to spiral, as did her overall health. Finally, Tammy Slaton’s siblings, Chris Combs, Amy Slaton Halterman, and Amanda Halterman, got through to her.
As the last of 1000-lb Sisters Season 3 closed, Tammy decided to go to bariatric rehab to save her life. But after just a day there, her health collapsed, and she was rushed to the hospital and placed in a medically-induced coma.
TLC Season 4 – Rehab Journey & Scary Near-Death Incidents
Now, we’re in the fourth season of the TLC weight loss show, following Tammy Slaton at her Ohio rehab center. Since Season 3, she underwent a tracheotomy and now has oxygen pumping directly into her lungs.
Why did the 1000-lb Sisters celeb need the procedure? Super morbidly obese patients often suffer Obesity-Hypoventilation Syndrome (OHS) according to the National Institutes of Health. And Tammy talked about the complications with her trach.
She joked about a scary moment where mucus built up in her tracheostomy and choked her — she laughed talking about how a “booger” almost killed her. It’s clear that although Tammy Slaton hit rock bottom, she’s changing.
Perhaps it’s the medical crisis that almost killed her as 1000-lb Sisters S3 closed. It was certainly a wake-up call. But this was filmed months ago and she’s much further down the road with her weight loss transformation.
1000-lb Sisters: Tammy Slaton Now
Although Tammy Slaton’s still very heavy on the recent Season 4 episodes on TLC, in real-time, she’s much thinner. Her brother said she was playing “Russian roulette” with her health and wanted her to make better choices.
At one time, Tammy had tipped the scales at over 700 pounds. Then in Season 2 Episode 5 1000-lb Sisters she was down to 644 pounds.
Later, she revealed she’d dropped a total of 80 pounds since her near-death incident and was down to 620 lbs.
And then, she achieved a milestone. The TLC star revealed she was down a total of 100 pounds.
But bariatric surgeon Dr. Eric Smith told her that she needed to shed 70 more lbs and get down to 550 before he’d perform her gastric surgery. Although it’s not shown yet on TLC, she met that goal and had surgery.
It leaked that she had the surgery in November 2022, but there’s no official confirmation. However, in a recent TikTok, Tammy Slaton and her husband shared a workout and he bragged about his “angel”.
How Much Does Tammy Slaton Weigh Now – Season 4 Update
Caleb Willingham shared a photo of Tammy working out on a machine in the gym and said, “look at my baby… out her killing it! I love you.”
You can see that 1000-lb Sisters photo above and others of a much-slimmer Tammy. If the leak is correct, it’s been 3-4 months since her gastric sleeve procedure.
We estimate that Tammy Slaton weighs under 500 lbs and perhaps less. Let’s assume at the time of her surgery that Tammy weighed the mandated 550 lbs. Patients average a 50 pounds loss in the first three months.
So, we’re guessing she might tip the scales at around 475 lbs now. Judge for yourself in the photos above. Tammy Slaton’s face is drastically slimmer. So much so that she doesn’t even look like herself. It’s an impressive transformation.
