1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton revealed she nearly died. She goes into greater detail about what she remembers while on life support.

While filming Season 4 of 1000-Lb Sisters, Tammy Slaton shares all of the details surrounding when she went on life support.

First, she starts off by explaining she went on life support two months before filming. She decided she wanted to go back to rehab to get her with losing weight.

When she arrived at rehab, she weighed 717 pounds. Tammy from 1000-Lb Sisters says this is her heaviest weight. Next, Tammy explains she was at the rehab facility for 30 minutes when her oxygen levels dropped.

Then, she had to be transported to the hospital. Next, she placed in a medically induced coma. She says the coma lasted about one week.

Tammy went back to this rehab to lose weight. She says she wants to qualify for weight loss surgery to save her life.

So, she put herself back in rehab to lose the weight she needed to qualify for the operation. Her family drove her to rehab to support her.

During her hospital stay, Tammy Slaton from 1000-Lb Sisters says she’s septic. Also, she says a nurse’s aide came in once she woke up.

This is when she first realized she had a tracheostomy. Then, Tammy explains she received the trach to ensure hospital staff had a “clear line” to her lungs in the case of another medical emergency. However, she isn’t happy about the trach.

While talking about her tracheostomy experience, Tammy Slaton of 1000-Lb Sisters goes into great detail about what happened to her. She says her throat’s cut open to place a tube inside of it. This tube gives direct oxygen to her lungs, which aids her breathing.

However, 1000-Lb Sisters celeb Tammy says there have been many big changes since the trach placement. She wasn’t aware of how different her life would be after the trach, like getting things stuck in her throat. Then, she says if anything gets too stuck in her throat, it gets suctioned out.

Next, she says her worst fear’s her inability to breathe while the trach’s placed. But she did go into further detail about her rock bottom moment.

She says she realized she needed to change when she opened her eyes from her coma. Now, she’s struggling with understanding “why God decided” to save her. The 1000-Lb Sisters celebrity held back tears while she talked about her lowest moment.
