Victor Newman refuses to accept that his daughter has left town and the family for good. She told her family off and walked away from her CEO position at Newman Entreprises.
Vikki asserted she was tired of Victor trying to run her life. So, she declared her love for Ashland and left without telling anyone where they were headed. However, Victor Newman didn’t listen to anything his daughter said.

Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is here to stay in Genoa City. She has told anyone who will listen how she is a changed woman. However, she has used the current situation to her advantage.
Jack even fell for her argument. So now he feels sorry for Diane on Young and the Restless. Everyone in town hates her. Several have even had ugly confrontations with hateful words directed at Diane.

She uses the pity card for all it’s worth. Diane continues to say she can withstand anything if it means she can be in her son’s life. So, the Jabot CEO seems to slowly warm to his baby mama.
Now that Jack’s single, Diane will undoubtedly see it as an opportunity. She looks for sympathy and confides in Jack about how horrible everyone has treated her.
