Victoria Newman argues that she has cut ties with her family. She and Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) left Genoa City to escape her family’s interference. Victoria asserts she needed to get away to live her life as she sees fit.
She knows her father will never accept Ashland as her life partner. So, they leave without telling anyone where they are going. However, Victoria Newman is correct. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) won’t stop until the Locke Ness Monster is destroyed on Young and the Restless.

So, the recently reunited couple settled into their New York hotel suite and made plans for their future. But Ashland is surprised Victoria wants to jump right back into the business world. In fact, she wants to create their own communications company that will compete with the family media company.

While Victoria Newman’s plan is unknown to her father, he has his own scheme in the works. He appoints Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as CEO the family empire.
However, it is not a vote of confidence in his son. Instead, Young and the Restless updates hint he hopes to use their sibling rivalry to lure Victoria back to the company.

It seems outrageous Victoria Newman thinks she can best her father. However, she has proven to be as good of a chess player as he is. So, Victoria will remain one step ahead of him as she works to build her own empire. She wants to stick it to Victor once more as she tries to destroy his legacy.
The next few weeks promise to be full of intrigue as it comes down to a battle between father and daughter that could leave one of them devastated. Victor is a formidable foe. So, Victoria has her work cut out for her as she fights for the ultimate prize on Young and the Restless.
She could come out on top if Victor lets his guard down. Victor realizes Victoria is calling the shots. He must accept that Victoria Newman is running the show to bring him down once and for all.
