Young and the Restless News: Devon Hamilton Is Perfect Donor — But not the Dad?
The test results come in quickly. They indicate Abby is a 50% match as a possible donor for Dominic. However, Devon is a complete match.

The transplant is scheduled soon. And the procedure is relatively easy. They have already overcome the biggest obstacle. Usually, finding the perfect match can take months.
However, now the doctors will use Devon’s bone marrow to save Dominic. But the fact that he’s a 100% match is a head-scratcher. And it’s important to understand a bone marrow match is not a paternity test… Big difference.
Young and the Restless Updates: Who Is Dom’s Biological Father?
This raised significant questions. Parents can only be a 50% match to their children. That’s because you get half your DNA from mom and half from dad. So, Abby’s 50% bone marrow match makes sense.
They specifically mentioned that siblings can be 100% compatible. Why? If they each got the same exact genes from mom and dad, then they’d align. Also, a stranger can be a 100% genetic match for donating — but a parent cannot.
So, this result means that Devon Hamilton is not Dominic Chancellor’s bio-dad. He could be a genetic stranger and be a match. Or in a weird twist, Devon could be Dominic’s brother on Young and the Restless.
That last is quite farfetched because it would mean Tucker McCall (Stephen Nichols) is the baby’s father. And it’s doubtful someone in the hospital lab had his sperm to put in the mix.
Is Stitch the Reason for the DNA Whoopsie on Y&R?
There is a scenario that explains what we’re seeing now. Did Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) replace Devon’s sperm with his own? He came unhinged while in Genoa City. And was at the hospital around the right time.

Here are the facts. First, there’s never been a paternity test done on Dom. Because everyone assumed he was the bio-kid of Abby and Devon Hamilton. Two, the donor match test is NOT a paternity test. It’s an HLA test.
It’s a test to see how much you have genetically in common. Third, you can have a 100% genetic match to be a donor with either a stranger or a sibling. But a parent will NEVER be a 100% donor match for a child.
Some Young and the Restless fans debating this online may get confused. This test Abby and Devon did this week was NOT a paternity test. However, the GCMH doctors should tell them they need a paternity test…
Because Devon cannot be the daddy unless the lab results were wrong. So, did Stitch make a replacement baby for the one that he and Abby lost after his psycho kid tripped her down the stairs?
If the writers follow the science, there is no possible way the music mogul is Dom’s father. So, something happened off-screen that has a significant impact on Dom’s genetics.
