‘Young and the Restless’ Recap: Tuesday June 1: Harrison Calls Kyle ‘Daddy’

Young and the Restless recaps for Tuesday, June 1 show Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) bonds with his son and is thrilled with the turn of events on the CBS soap opera. Also, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) learns that her father may have been killed because he was looking for her and her twin sister, Hilary Curtis.

Young and the Restless Recap: Kyle Abbott Drops A Bomb – He is The Daddy

As Kyle Abbott shows the DNA results to Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), he doesn’t believe it. Ash is sure it is just a ploy to hurt his chances of getting custody of Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). But Young and the Restless updates indicate that Kyle tells the guy to have his own test conducted to confirm the findings. So, he leaves Kyle’s family home without another word.

Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) thinks it is time they tell Harrison the news about Kyle Abbott. But Summer Newman (Hunter King) is shocked she wants to do it immediately. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Summer leave the ex-lovers to talk. Young and the Restless updates report Kyle is unsure. He is having trouble understanding it himself. How can they explain it to a three-year-old boy?

So, Kyle Abbott needs to decide what role he wants in his son’s life. Tara argues he’s in or out. Then, Kyle says he wants to be a father on Young and the Restless. So, they sit down with Harrison and she explains that he’s got a brand new bonus Daddy. She also says they’re staying in Genoa City. Kyle says he can’t wait to get to know him. It goes pretty well on the soap.

Amanda Sinclair Works Her Grandfather’s Case on Y&R

In Amanda’s suite, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) tells her she’s heading to Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) new home to congratulate her. She and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) moved in together. But Amanda can’t join him because she’s waiting for Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) on Young and the Restless. Recaps say they plan to strategize on their grandfather’s case.

Imani arrives to hear new Y&R information from her half-sister. She has been in touch with the private investigator her dad Richard hired when he was looking for his child. So, the case could take a whole different direction depending on what is learned. But Imani insists they stay with the Newman Enterprise angle.

She already spoke to Sutton Ames (Jack Landron), and this is what he wants. But Amanda is furious that she went behind her back. She’s sure there are no Newman connections. Young and the Restless scoops report Richard did not have any unusual deposits in his account, so he wasn’t blackmailed. Once they hear back from the PI, they will have an indication of where to start.

Young and the Restless Scoops: Billy & Lily Play House

At Crimson Lights, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) sees Billy and is surprised to learn of his new living arrangement. Especially since Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) didn’t mention anything. So, it turns out he hasn’t told her yet. It just hasn’t been the right time, he reports. But Nikki looks on disapprovingly on Young and the Restless.

Billy arrives back at the condo to find Lily unpacking. That ends when the lovebirds quickly head up to the bedroom to hit the sheets. Once back downstairs, he tells her he is worried about Jack. He is sure something is going on with his nephew and the Lockes. Someone in GC is involved in their divorce. Billy is sure of it.

As the couple continues to unpack their stuff, Billy gets an update via phone call. He hears that the Locke Ness Monster just changed the grounds of his divorce from a low-key no fault to accusations of adultery. Billy knew there was more to the story on Young and the Restless. Now, he just needs to figure out who Tara cheated with. Of course, it hits close to home when he finds out it’s Kyle Abbott…

Amanda Learns Shocking New Information Per Y&R News

After more disagreements, Amanda decides to lunch with her sister and forget the case and family drama for a few. Instead, they talk about travel and other trivialities. Then, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) arrives and is immediately smitten with Imani. So, they flirt as Amanda takes a call. After, she says the PI can meet with them now.

Denise Tolliver (Telma Hopkins) arrives and tells Amanda that she remembers Richard well. He was desperate to find the child his ex-girlfriend put up for adoption on Young and the Restless. Richard wasn’t having any problems with Newman Enterprises. But he was worried sick that his child had been abandoned and was all alone in the world.

The PI was able to connect with the girlfriend and her family, but no one would talk. So she then discovered the foster family’s contact information. She gave it to Richard. But he died soon after. So she doesn’t think he was able to contact them before his untimely death. Rocked by the news, Amanda vows to discover the truth.

Young and the Restless Updates: Tara Worries Ashland Will Take Her Son

Y&R information has Ashland at Society as he calls his lawyer. He is furious at the recent developments and demands action. But Jack walks in and tries to make peace with the businessman. He works to calm Ash and remind him that they all need to do what is best for Harrison. So he begs that he not take him away from his mother.

Jack knows firsthand the damage such a move would cause. The Abbott patriarch returns home and fills Kyle and his baby mama Tara in on his conversation with Ashland. He hopes he got through to Ash about this. But Tara is sure he will make her pay for her betrayal. He will attempt to take away the thing most precious to me – my son. But Jack won’t let that happen.

Kyle & Summer Stand Strong on Y&R

Kyle Abbott goes back to TGP to see Summer Newman (Hunter King). He knows she is suffering from all the chaos. But he promised Tara that he is all in with Harrison. It the way it has to be. She understands and promises to stay by his side. He can’t do it without her, he declares. Summer says he won’t have to on Young and the Restless.

Young and the Restless recaps indicate that excited Kyle Abbott tells his fiancee that Harrison called him Daddy. It felt amazing – he shares. So, Summer tells him he will be a great role model. She has total faith in him. Kyle promises nothing will come between them as they kiss.

Back at the Jabot mansion, Jack is ready to teach Harrison to play catch. He is thrilled to hear that Kyle is his father and says that makes him grandpa. Y&R recaps for Tuesday, June 1, show that Amanda’s world is rocked while Kyle Abbott grows closer to his son.
