‘Young and the Restless’ News: Summer Not Gone – Hunter King Has More Scenes – Will She & Michael Mealor Exit Together?
Young and the Restless spoilers have Summer Newman in more scenes soon – so Hunter King taped beyond what was anticipated to be her last day and may exit alongside Michael Mealor as he leaves the role of Kyle Abbott. Already, we spotted Summer saying goodbye as her dad, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) left her in Italy. But, soon, there’s more. And it begs the question of whether her final exit will be with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) from the CBS soap.
Young and the Restless Comings and Goings: Summer Newman Final Scenes Not Aired Yet
Although it’s confirmed that Hunter King is done on Y&R as Summer Newman – we just caught a glimpse of her this week. She had a brief scene with Nick where he wished Summer well and hugged her, planning to get on his jet and head back to Genoa City. However, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) showed up to seduce him.
Then, Young and the Restless left fans with the impression that Summer was gone once she and her dad left for Milan. Then, in the scenes where she told her dad bye and left, that also had an air of finality. However, the latest Y&R spoilers reveal at least one more confirmed appearance with Hunter King as Summer Newman.

And it also crops up some more questions about whether Hunter’s part of the coming confirmed exit of Michael Mealor as Kyle Abbott. A source behind the scenes at Young and the Restless said that neither Michael nor Hunter King have filmed for weeks. So, that hints their last on-air scenes could align…
Y&R Spoilers: Kyle Abbott Exit Coming Soon
Last week, Michael Mealor confirmed – after Jason Thompson (aka Billy Abbott) leaked it – that he is leaving Young and the Restless as Kyle Abbott. But, Kyle’s front burner in some big plots on the CBS sudser. He’s a new dad to Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). However, the Y&R writers could swerve that storyline.
They could say that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) lied and doctored her son’s paternity test on Young and the Restless. Or Kyle could find out about her scheming, take custody and leave Genoa City with Harrison. Although that seems like a long shot. It would also seem strange for him to abandon his son.

Soon, on Young and the Restless, Tara tries to make a move on Kyle Abbott. And Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) digs into what Tara’s been doing with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) behind Kyle’s back. So, there are many opportunities for this all to blow up. And that sends Kyle Abbott out of town as Michael Mealor departs.
Michael Mealor Exits with Hunter King – Kyle Runs to Summer on Young and the Restless?
With Michael Mealor confirming his departure, that means it should be close at hand. CBS is notoriously tight-lipped and so that means his final days on Y&R shouldn’t be too far away. The week of July 26, there are spoilers for Summer Newman. Her grandparents come to visit her in Europe.
So, it looks like Hunter King taped scenes for Young and the Restless to spread out over several weeks. For now, watch for the wrap to Kyle Abbott’s story. With him exiting, the natural place for Kyle to go is to be with his soulmate Summer. Unless they’re recasting Kyle Abbott, that is.
Remember, Mealor himself is a recast, so you never know. But all signs point to Y&R taping final scenes already for both Hunter King with Michael Mealor as Kyle Abbott surprised Summer Newman in Italy and these two lovebirds are reunited to live happily ever after (at least for now).
That is, of course, unless fan outcry gets the powers that be to change their minds on their contracts… You never know.
