Young and the Restless Spoilers: Diane Jenkins Humiliated by Tabloid Story
Y&R this week sees Diane Jenkins unaware that three of her old enemies are plotting to humiliate and drive her out of town. Talia Morgan (The Talk‘s Natalie Morales) meets with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is on high alert as she spots her mother and grandmother with this woman and confronts her mom on today’s Young and the Restless. Spoilers see the ladies lie to Summer and say she’s reporting on Ashland Locke’s death.
Recall that Summer told her mom to leave Diane alone. That was the primary condition for hiring Phyllis at Marchetti. She had to co-exist peacefully with Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) mother. But this is the start of a war that will hurt Red’s daughter in the end.
It shouldn’t be long before Talia digs up dirt on Diane Jenkins. And unless someone stops her, she’ll present a news story exposing Diane’s past, her faking her death, and other sins. So, she’ll be publicly named and shamed on Y&R.
Adam Newman Knows the Sting of an Expose on Y&R
Young and the Restless watchers know Adam Newman had the same experience when Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) did a scathing report after the prodigal son returned from the dead. So, you can see the similarities already between Adam and Diane.
Of course, Adam was annoyed that Billy dragged up all of his sins for public consumption. And Y&R fans know that Billy blames Adam solely for his daughter’s death, despite his terrible parenting choice to leave a young child alone in a car. Billy-Boy’s to blame too.
But that didn’t stop him from trying to shame Adam Newman into leaving town on Young and the Restless. So, these two reformed villains have near-identical experiences with humiliating tabloid reports about their deeds. As if no one else in GC has committed sins…
And he’s pretty annoyed at the Newmans right now. He’s jobless, loveless, frustrated, and festering. So, he’s ripe for a revenge plot with an old pal…
Adam & Diane Team up to Punish Common Foes on The Young and the Restless?
If you watched the CBS soap back in the day, you’d recall that Diane Jenkins was one of Adam Newman’s pals, and he helped her fake her death. Although, they shifted the blame to Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) when rewriting history for her return.
Even so, if Phyllis and Nikki get a tabloid exposé published about Diane, Adam might approach her. He’d offer sympathy on The Young and the Restless. Phyllis and the Newmans stung him too. So, him proposing they partner up for payback makes sense.
Imagine the dangerous combination of an angry Adam Newman and diabolical Diane Jenkins. Since returning, she tried to prove she’s changed. And he did the same. But some won’t give them the chance to prove it and target them instead.
There seems little doubt that this scheme will backfire on Red and her co-conspirators. But will it be Adam that helps Diane seek vengeance for publicly shaming her? Wait and see what happens on Y&R…
