‘Young and the Restless’: Did Diane & Adam Help Ashland Fake His Death?

Young and the Restless spoilers confirm Ashland Locke‘s (Robert Newman) body was found but did Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) help him fake his death on Y&R? Remember, he’s got a couple of like-minded associates in Genoa City that might have helped pull this off.

Diane Jenkins & Adam Newman Faked a Death Before on The Young and the Restless

Even if you’re a newer Y&R viewer, you’ve heard them mention Diane Jenkins faking her death. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) got the blame by the frame, and she’s still furious. That’s why she and her lady gang are trying to run her out of town.

But did you know that Adam Newman helped her? When they inexplicably resurrected Diane, they changed history and blamed it on Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan). But Adam was definitely in the mix. And it wouldn’t be his first rodeo on Young and the Restless.

And on the CBS soap, Diane bonded with Ashland Locke from the moment he came to town as a fellow pariah. So, is there more to their tentative friendship? Were there secret meetings with Diane and Adam that viewers didn’t see?

If they did help Ashland fake his death, maybe we’ll get some flashback scenes. Cops find his car at the bottom of a ravine – with his body supposedly in it. But is this just a fake job? How did he end up at the bottom of a ravine on Y&R?

This sounds a lot like how Diane “died” with a body and everything. Yet it was still faked with Adam’s help (and Deacon’s). So, maybe Ashland got expert assistance from them…

Ashland Locke Vowed Revenge – Ending Too Easy on Y&R?

Remember that Ashland was furious at the Newmans. He was humiliated in every way by them and their friends. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) even had Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) spill his worst secret on his podcast. Then, Adam warned the family.

With nothing to lose, Ash was free to lash out. That’s why he showed up at Vikki’s and got physical with her. But did he plan to hurt her, scare her. Or was his appearance there all part of some plan with Diane and Adam on Young and the Restless?

If it was planned, surely he didn’t expect what came next. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) knocked him so hard he’d bash his head on the fireplace. With all of Ashland’s rage and plans for vengeance, this ending seems too easy.

It looks like Ashland drove away from Vikki’s house and drove off the road because of his head injury. That easily explains them finding his vehicle at the bottom of a ravine with him inside. But doesn’t that seem way too easy on the CBS daytime drama?

Did Adam & Diane Help Ashland on Young and the Restless

Recall that Ashland Locke vowed payback on the family for wrecking his life. And Adam Newman’s invested in seeing Ash get his revenge on Young and the Restless. Meanwhile, Diane Jenkins tried to stay out of trouble. But she could be tempted.

Recall, Diane warned him too. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) is digging into her past on orders from Nikki. And there could be something there that Ashland could use to get her to agree to help him. So, it’s possible that he had one or two conspirators.

Spoilers suggest if Ashland Locke died in that ravine, it’s an abrupt and unsatisfying ending. But that could be exactly what Y&R serves up to fans. However, it’d be much more interesting if he faked his death and Adam Newman helped him – along with Diane Jenkins.
