Will ‘Young and the Restless’ Stun with Double Wedding in Italy – Summer & Kyle Get Exit They Deserve?
Young and the Restless spoilers know Summer Newman (Hunter King) and her fiance Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) didn’t get much of a sendoff and the characters and actors deserve better. With a big wedding coming up in Italy for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland Locke (Peter Burgi), will the CBS soap surprise us and make it a 2-for-1?
Young and the Restless: Strange Lingering Scenes for Kyle Abbott & Summer Newman
One sign that Y&R might have more planned for Summer and her sweetie Kyle are all those lingering video scenes. You’d think they would have sent Kyle Abbott off into the sunset with Summer Newman and that would be the end of it aside from casual name drops in conversations now and then.
But Young and the Restless keeps popping them in for chats with Summer’s parents and Kyle’s dad. While many fans enjoy seeing them, they’re still riled up that the soap couldn’t keep them. Their rumored exit was over a contract dispute for one and work scheduling for the other. But nothings been confirmed by the actors or networks, of course.

So, with Young and the Restless still airing scenes, that means they shot more. Could it be they filmed a splashier goodbye to thrill fans of Summer Newman and her love Kyle Abbott? All this recent talk of Italy sure seems like hints dropping all over the place. Plus, Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) is there too.
Y&R Spoilers: Victoria Newman Plans Wedding in Italy – Not the Best Place for Groom
Young and the Restless just had Ashland Locke turn down an offer from Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to ride along and drop Harrison off to Kyle and his fiancée Summer. However, Ash said the plane ride would be way too much for him with his illness and taxing medical treatments. So, why in the heck is Victoria planning a wedding so far away?
It’s interesting that Victoria’s wedding venue is just a couple of hours away from where Kyle Abbott moved with Summer Newman on Young and the Restless. Much closer than Genoa City. So close that you’d definitely expect Summer to show up with Kyle. But could there be more to it? With Harrison so nearby, should he be brought to his father’s wedding?

If Young and the Restless pre-taped this wedding as some of Hunter King’s last scenes with Michael Mealor, we may see them there. If so, there could be special moments for Kyle Abbott there with Summer Newman. And Kyle would have his son at his side. So, there’s potential there for a big goodbye moment that fans really want for “Skyle”.
Will Summer & Kyle Join in a Double Wedding on Young and the Restless or….?
Y&R spoilers wonder if Victoria would share the altar at her big splashy wedding with another bride. It doesn’t sound like something she would do. But if her dad leaned on her, she might. Or Kyle could marry Summer after the big party leaves. It could be just the minister and them in a smaller ceremony afterwards. Or there could be a larger twist on Young and the Restless.
Spoilers keep hinting that Ash is running some sort of con on Victoria. If he plans to dump her at the altar, that would leave that nice big wedding and reception totally available for Summer Newman to use to get hitched to Kyle Abbott. Or if Ashland were too sick to travel or too sick to walk down the aisle, all the planning would be for nothing on Young and the Restless.
Ashland: Harrison will go to live with you and Summer in Milan, and, in between treatments, I will come visit if I am feeling strong enough.

Then, Vikki might suggest that another Newman should take advantage of all their hasty planning. So, who else might wed at the family villa? The only couple any of the family would want to see tie the knot right now is Kyle and his soulmate Summer. So, keep watching to see if this big fat Italian wedding turns into a very special sendoff for Summer Newman along with Kyle Abbott.
