‘Welcome to Plathville’: Moriah & Micah Reconcile with Parents in Season 3 Episode 1
Welcome to Plathville siblings Moriah Plath and Micah Plath declared their independence, along with older brother Ethan, and that drove a wedge between them and their fundamental parents. But as season 3 of the TLC show kicks off, we see two of the three siblings are welcomed back to Barry and Kim Plath’s home.
Welcome to Plathville Season 3: Max Kallschmidt Gets Serious About Moriah Plath
On Season 3, Episode 1, What’s up Sugar Bum, we learn that Moriah Plath has been with boyfriend Max Kallschmidt for about a year now. She says he checks off everything on her list of what she wants in a man And Moriah drops the all-important tidbit that she’s finally talking to her parents again and can come see her younger siblings at the house.
It seems there was a little peace treaty achieved while the Welcome to Plathville cameras were not rolling. Moriah Plath’s parents are even cool with letting Max come over with her. We get to see a cute pillow fight in the season opener between Moriah, Max, and Micah Plath. Max even crashes Micah’s camera confessional time for some bro fun.
Later, on Welcome to Plathville, Max gets serious with Micah and tells him that he wants to marry Moriah one day. So, he wants to give Moriah a promise ring soon and make a big deal out of it. He and Micah need to enlist Lydia Plath’s help. Micah Plath is on board because he already sees Max Kallschmidt like a brother.
Micah Plath Also Back on Speaking Terms with the Parents on TLC Reality Show
Welcome to Plathville S3 E1 takes us to Kim and Barry’s house for a big family dinner. Everyone is there including Moriah and brother Micah with the noted exceptions of Ethan and his wife Olivia. What’s interesting is Moriah Plath is in full makeup and wearing her cropped top that shows her belly. And Moriah’s engaging with Max in their standard amount of PDA (public display of affection).
Moriah cam talks later on Welcome to Plathville and says she won’t change how she behaves in front of her parents. Plus, Moriah Plath wants to set an example to her younger siblings that they can do what they want. With Lydia enlisted to help with the ring thing, she devises and awkward scenario where others at the table try on her pinkie ring. Micah jumps right in to play his part as well.
It finally makes it down to Moriah but the pinkie ring is too big. Kim has another ring and Lydia rushes to get it on Welcome to Plathville. It’s grandma’s ring and fits just fine. Mission accomplished. They know Moriah Plath’s ring size now. It looks like Micah and Moriah are comfortable with their parents and their siblings. But everyone feels their older brother’s absence.
What’s up with Ethan Plath on Welcome to Plathville Season 3
As the new season begins, they replay the tense scenes from the end of season two where Ethan faced off with dad Barry over their rejection of Olivia. The fallout has hit their marriage hard and they’re in therapy. Ethan is still upset he’s been cut off from his siblings. But he’s thankful he gets time with Micah Plath.
Micah stops by and they work out together and compete like goofballs on Welcome to Plathville. Meanwhile, Lydia can’t stop thinking about her brother Ethan. She even prays in her dedicated prayer closet that she be allowed to see him soon. Were her prayers answered? The cliffhanger at the end of the episode points at Ethan.
Lydia heads to an interview on Welcome to Plathville. It’s at an auto repair shop and it seems Ethan is there. But that will play out in the next episode.
