Welcome to Plathville sibling Lydia Plath‘s recent social media Q&A has given Plath family followers more insight into her older siblings, Ethan Plath, Micah Plath, and Moriah Plath‘s current relationship status with their mother, Kim Plath.
Since the Season 4 finale not much information has been released about the TLC reality stars. However, in the past several months she has quickly become fans’ go-to girl for updates.
Welcome to Plathville: Lydia Plath Spills Family Tea
Lydia Plath is spending her summer on the road. She is currently traveling across the country with the Jesus Journey Mission Tour and says she is having the time of her life. While on the road, she often gets downtime between cities and updates her followers.
Recently, she opened up during a question and answers session. Her followers took the opportunity to seek information about her older siblings, and their current relationship status with their mom, Kim Plath.
TLC viewers know that following the season 4 finale things were very strained between Kim and her older children. But now she says things have changed.
One fan asked her why her older siblings did not stand up for their mom, and was curious if Kim was as bad a mother as she was made out to be.
She quickly responded saying, “There’s grace for everyone! And when teenagers are acting in rebellion, you can’t take everything they say as facts. We have an amazing mother, and all love each other despite everything!
Lydia Plath of Welcome to Plathville also added, “Not to mention, my older siblings have really grown a lot, and definitely stand up for our mother now!”
TLC Star Puts Olivia Plath on Blast?
Lydia also answered a few questions pertaining to her brother Ethan’s wife Olivia Plath concerning her recent statements comparing the Plath family to the Duggars. The curious fans asked “Is what Olivia said true that your family belonged to the IBLP cult like the Duggars?
The Welcome to Plathville star responded, “No it’s not true!!! We have never been and never will be. I didn’t even know what that was till a few years ago.” For the past few months, Plath followers say that they have noticed that Olivia and Ethan appear to be distancing themselves from each other.
They also notice that she has not worn her wedding ring. This leads them to believe that the couple may be experiencing marital problems again. However, there is no official confirmation to support fan theories at this time. It is also unknown how Plath family members have reacted to Olivia’s recent statements.
Welcome to Plathville: Lydia Claps Back
Lydia also answered about her future husband. The fan wrote, “Will your future husband need to at least respect your mom, if not embrace her as family too?” Her reply was honest, and she also let the fan know in a polite way she did not appreciate the question. “Absolutely!!! But why do I feel this question is coming from a place of disrespect…?”
Many of her followers agreed with the reality star and felt the question was disrespectful. They also believe it to be a direct dig at Ethan’s wife Olivia and her relationship with their mom Kim. While TLC viewers appreciate her informative responses, they want Season 5.
Late last fall she revealed to fans that Season 5 filming of the hit TLC reality series Welcome to Plathville had begun. As of yet, there has been no official word from the network so far.
So, whether or not the show will return is still up in the air, at least for now. Until the network releases the official word, fans will have to rely on Lydia Plath for the latest Plath family tea. What do you think about her sibling update news?
