‘Welcome to Plathville’: Lydia Panics During Strange Crisis
Welcome to Plathville sibling Lydia Plath is often described by TLC fans as the calmest and most level-headed of Kim Plath and Barry Plath‘s nine children. That is unless she finds herself in an emergency situation. According to the reality television personality, she tends to become quickly overwhelmed, and panics.
Welcome to Plathville: Lydia Plath Freaks Out
Lydia Plath recently found herself in a strange situation. She said she was trying to decide whether or not she wanted to buy some really cute earrings that found while shopping. So, to get a better look at how the jewelry would look on her she decided to try the earrings on.
She loved the jewelry and thought they were not only cute but affordable. She admired the earrings for a few minutes. But when she attempted to remove the pierced earring from her earlobe, she found that she was stuck in a weird situation.
She could not get the back of the earring loose to remove it from her ear. Things were okay for a little while. She even laughed at herself and the predicament she was in.
However, no matter how many times she tried, the earring would not budge. As time went on she realized things may be more serious than she initially thought. So she began to panic.
TLC Star Ready to Use Extreme Measures
Lydia Plath of Welcome to Plathville admits she was concerned. She did not know how she would get the earrings off, or explain the situation she was in. She said she attempted for a few hours to work to remove the jewelry without luck. She said she chipped her nails and was at her wit’s end.
Lydia’s anxiety was through the roof. So, she decided to take extreme measures. She says it was frustrating. So, she brought in a pair of pliers to help with the job.
She knew this was her last effort. She was also aware that this measure could destroy the earring. But it was a risk she was willing to take at this point.
She gave it one final try with the pliers. Relief came when she finally freed her earlobe from the jewelry’s death lock. So, did the reality star buy the earrings? The TLC celebrity was undecided. She said she may still buy them, but she wants an option to be able to take them off as well.
Welcome to Plathville: Season 5 News Update
Now that Welcome to Plathville fans know that Lydia has survived her strange crisis, they want to know more about Season 5. It has been quite a while since viewers were able to catch up on all the Plath family news.
They continue to await information from the family, and the network. But so far, everyone else remains silent on the subject.

The last filming rumors circulated in January after an unknown source claimed that the network was spotted filming in Los Angeles. So far the only confirmation on Season 5 comes from Lydia.
Last fall she posted that filming had officially begun. She also posted a photo of her mom Kim Plath with the film crew. However, she has not updated fans any further on the status of Season 5. Fans say they hope for an official update soon.
