‘Welcome to Plathville’: Lydia Plath Squashes Beef with Kim Plath
Welcome to Plathville daughter Lydia Plath recently spoke out to her TLC followers about where she and some of her siblings stand with their mom, Kim Plath.
Lately, the Plath family siblings have all remained silent about their mom. However, Lydia is ready to break her silence and give her fans the update they need.
Welcome to Plathville: Kim Plath and Daughter Lydia Plath Make Amends?
Kim Plath tried every attempt to reconcile with all of her Welcome to Plathville children during Season 4. She knows that her decision to end her marriage to their dad, Barry Plath hurt her children.
And some fans say that left her already damaged family even more broken. She was just making some headway as Season 4 came to an end.
But the reality television mom found herself in big trouble in June of 2022 when she was involved in an alcohol-related car crash in Florida.
The case was ongoing until October when Kim was arrested in Wakulla County, Florida. The sheriff’s department issued a warrant for her arrest. She spent just a few hours in jail before bonding out.
Earlier this month Kim of Welcome to Plathville‘s case was closed. The TLC reality star was found guilty of DUI. She was issued a $963 fine, nine months of probation, 50 hours of community service. And she must complete DUI school and a substance abuse evaluation.
Since then, her children have not mentioned their mother. That is all except Lydia Plath, who appears to have salvaged her relationship with Kim. She also shares where her siblings currently stand with their mom as of now.
Lydia Speaks Out for Her Younger Siblings?
Welcome to Plathville viewers agree that they find Lydia Plath to be one of the most kind-hearted and forgiving of the nine siblings.
So, it comes as no surprise that she is the first to forgive and work through her issues with her mom. During a recent Q&A video, Lydia responds to fan questions about her mom.

She tells her Welcome to Plathville followers that her mom is doing really well. She continues saying, “She sees the girls often. I get to see her now and then when our schedules align”
She adds, “I really need to meet up with her soon because I might just be leaving town for a while.” She continues, by saying, “I just want to let you guys know, that she is doing really good. And the girls spend time with her, time here.”
Currently, Lydia is the only member of the Welcome to Plathville family to mention Kim at all. Last fall Lydia also shared a photo and post saying Season 5 filming had begun.
The photo she included was Kim standing next to a car and the camera crew. She gave no further details on the subject. The post raised a lot of curiosity among TLC viewers, who are anxious for any news regarding the Plath family.
Welcome to Plathville: Are Kim’s Older Kids Freezing Her Out?
Many Welcome to Plathville fans find it bizarre that Ethan Plath, Micah Plath, Moriah Plath, and Isaac Plath have not mentioned Kim at all.
Some think that the older siblings still find it difficult to forgive their mom, and the DUI arrest was just the icing on the cake for them. So, are they continuing to freeze her out of their lives?

TLC viewers can’t wait for Season 5. However, the network, or Plath family members, other than Lydia Plath have yet to confirm a fifth season.
If Season 5 of Welcome to Plathville happens, many fans believe the show may air sometime late this spring, or early summer. In any case, this is all pure speculation, for now.
