‘The Family Chantel’ Welcomes a New Addition – Thomas & Karen Thrilled
The Family Chantel star Chantel Everett’s parents, Karen Everett and Thomas Everett welcome a new family member. With their kids growing up and moving on, this addition makes their empty nest a little more cozy.
The Family Chantel: Expanding the Family – Karen Everett and Husband Thomas Everett Welcome Someone New
Karen and Thomas Everett, Chantel’s mom and dad, are already parents to four children. However, the TLC cast members welcomed another member to their family. In the upcoming episode of The Family Chantel, Karen Everett introduces Ginger Spice Yoshimi. Husband Thomas say their pup is a “beautiful addition” to the family, calling her their “third daughter.”
Karen Everett from The Family Chantel wanted to name their dog Tsunami. However, no one in the family liked the name. The only thing she could think of when picking another name was Ginger Spice from the Spice Girls. Karen is a big fan of the British girl band. But, since the dog is a Japanese breed, she felt Ginger needed a Japanese name.
So, she added Yoshima. Karen says that it means “good luck, girl.” The Family Chantel castmate is already teaching the new addition how to do tricks. On the show, she teaches Ginger how to jump through a hula hoop. Karen even thinks that her and Thomas Everett’s dog will be a “blue ribbon” winner.
TLC’s Chantel Everett Suggests Mom Get a Dog
Chantel Everett thought the dog was a good idea because she didn’t want her mother to be alone. The Family Chantel reality star’s father, Thomas, is always at work, and her brother, River Everett, “does his own thing” and will be out the door soon. Karen Everett says that she doesn’t get to see River much because he is always working on his music.

Chantel feels that her brother is “trying to spread his wings.” Karen Everett knows that her “nest” is almost empty. But, she feels that taking care of her family is a job that never ends. She says, “it just evolves.”
Karen Everett’s son, River, asks her who is easier to take care of, him or Ginger. The Family Chantel matriarch picks her dog. She thinks that having a dog is great. She says that it takes her mind off of “some of that stuff” that her kids get into.
The Family Chantel: Celeb Expanding Family Next?
Chantel Everett didn’t want her mom to be a lonely empty nester and she is happy Karen Everett has a dog now. But, could she and her husband, Pedro Jimeno, be planning to add a little one to their nest? In the coming episode of The Family Chantel, the TLC couple are ready to ditch their one-bedroom apartment for a bigger home.
Could this mean they’re looking for a place to raise a family? Pedro Jimeno’s wife graduated from nursing school and has a job. So, he feels that it’s time they live their American dream. He wants to buy a house and a “nice supercar.” But, they both have different ideas as to what they want in a home.
Pedro Jimeno also plans to have his mother and sister stay with them in America. The Family Chantel husband doesn’t want them to stay in a hotel when they visit. However, that idea was never in Chantel Everett’s plan. But, she knows that she has to have a healthy relationship with her husband’s family. Yet, she doesn’t see them becoming best friends.
Could a baby bring the two families together – or should Chantel and Pedro maybe try getting a dog first? Expect to see more of Ginger on The Family Chantel as Thomas Everett and wife Karen Everett bond with their new fur baby.
