‘Sister Wives’: Kody Brown Makes How Much an Hour?
Kody Brown developed a fanbase from appearing on Sister Wives. Now he uses the notoriety for earning the big bucks.
The potential is there for him to make more an hour than some of the highest-paying careers out there.
There’s only one problem… 25 seconds at $12,000 an hour only boils down to about $100 bucks.

Like many other celebrities today, Kody Brown cashes in by creating videos for his fans. These personalized videos cost money. But for $99, the man with 18 kids will say your name and wish you well.

Christine Brown, Janelle Brown, and Meri Brown also offer this service. The only spouse from the Sister Wives series who doesn’t is Robyn Brown.
But that should come as no surprise to viewers of the TLC show. Robyn seems to shy away from the public as much as she can.
Kody Brown charges more for this service than the ladies of Sister Wives. But that also won’t surprise many of the show’s fans.
Kody starts at $99 for a personalized fan video. Next, there’s Meri who starts her fee at $60. But Christine Brown and Janelle Brown come more reasonably priced.
They each start their personalized videos at $35. This is for the same service that the head of the family offers.
Caring about the Fans Vs. Raking in the Dough
From a glance at the prices, it looks as if Kody believes his time is worth more than the women of Sister Wives. Next, the original matriarch prices herself higher than the other ladies. Still, she’s not as high as her shared hubby.
So, it seems as if Janelle and Christine are more in this for the fans when it comes to price tags. They’ve made their clips more affordable than their two counterparts.
But there’s also one big comparison between Kody Brown and his wives — the length of time. Many of Kody’s videos, which fans paid good money for, last about a minute. Some not even 30 seconds. The wives at least give the fans more time than Kody does.
Sister Wives: Kody Could Make It Rich – If Only…
One of the more recent videos Kody Brown created for a fan lasted only 25 seconds. Since he states that $99 is his starting price, you assume that is what the Sister Wives fan paid.
So, if you do the math, that means he could make around $200 a minute. Now if you stretch that out to an hour, well it is somewhere in the vicinity of $12,000.
He’ll more than likely never see anything near this amount of pay for his personalized videos. But there’s a potential to make quite a bit of money if the fans were there and willing.
But once you see what he’s offering for $99, it might work as a deterrent. In those 25 seconds, he wished someone a happy birthday. Then and thanked them for being a fan of the Sister Wives show.
So, when you take a real look into what’s offered, what do you get? You pay that amount of money only to hear your first name come out of Kody’s mouth. Plus, a short message if you have an event or request.
So, does this mean Kody Brown thinks his time is worth $12K per hour? That’s what it comes out to for an hourly rate.
Of course, he would need to find a lot more fans willing to pay almost 100 bucks to hear him speak their name. But for now, he’s getting paid what many people make for a day’s work in a matter of 25 seconds.
