‘Sister Wives’: Janelle Warns Maddie of Rough Times on the Way
Sister Wives star Janelle Brown warned her daughter, Maddie Brown Brush recently of things to come. Or better yet, things that won’t come in this case.
Still, Janelle knows what she’s talking about. Especially since this warning came from her own experience of getting her hands dirty.
Sister Wives: Maddie Brush like Mom Janelle Brown
Maddie Brush, 26, is a mom of two adorable kids. Axel Brush, her oldest, turned five-years-old last week. His little sister Evie Brush is two and will turn three in August. This Sister Wives daughter often pulls a page from her mom’s book on doing things.
Janelle Brown gave birth to six of the Sister Wives’ children. All of whom grew up into productive young adults, with her youngest Savanah Brown, 17, still at home.
So when Maddie started gardening, she got some advice from the woman she calls a master gardener. Then she took fans on a little tour to show them something they won’t find on Pinterest.
Going by mom’s warning, she wasn’t too upset at what fans were about to see. Some of the vegetable plants in her garden are flourishing. But others struggle, Maddie Brush said, as she videoed the garden tour.

What Maddie Brush wanted to share was what a real garden looks like for someone just starting out. She said this tour would not be like the ones that gleam on Pinterest.
Still, her tomato plants looked every bit as good as the ones seen from professional garden sites. But some neighboring produce looked a bit stunted.
So, Janelle Brown has been through it all when it comes to a garden. She’s shared some of her gardening tips with Sister Wives fans in the past. But, that thumb of hers wasn’t always green. She fine-tuned her gardening over the years of trial and error.
With that said, Janelle warned Maddie that the first couple of years are the roughest. Maddie made the video to show you that she understands that.
Sister Wives: Maddie Not Looking to Mom for Perfection
Maddie Brush made a rather generic gardening clip to share with her Sister Wives followers. She made no excuses for the weeds other than she hasn’t had the time to yank them out.
But there’s a lesson to learn from what Janelle’s daughter shares with her followers. She isn’t worried about perfection or even looking for it in her garden.
Maddie’s interest is only about growing some healthy produce for her family. She doesn’t need a picture-perfect garden to do that suggests this Sister Wives daughter.
Sure, Janelle warned her about the first few years when starting out with a garden. But Maddie seemed to learn much more. But her lessons likely came from watching Janelle from her childhood on up.
No Time for the Weeds
It looks as if Maddie learned more from her Sister Wives mom besides the rough times of gardening. But she also seemed to pick up a few tips on spending time wisely as well.
The oldest daughter of Janelle Brown and Kody Brown showed fans the weeds growing in the garden. Then she said she hasn’t found the time yet to pull them out.
But when you look at her other posts on social media, you understand why. There’s a cute picture of her kids, Axel and Evie, as they stare into the oven while cookies bake. That photo appears above.
Then another post shows how they went strawberry picking. They also frolicked on the beach during a different outing. Maddie and her husband, Celeb Brush, got together with the kids in the kitchen to cook dinner in yet another post.
Janelle’s warning will help novice gardeners feel better about their first few crops. But then take a look at why Maddie doesn’t have a lot of time to work in the garden. That’s most likely the best message of all.
She’s spending that time with her little Sister Wives’ family of four. It looks like Janelle planted more than just vegetables for her kids through the years. It seems she gave them the foundation for good parenting as well.
