‘Sister Wives’: Christine Mocks Robyn Brown’s ‘Functional Marriage’?

Sister Wives star Christine Brown seems to aim at Robyn Brown in the new promo clip for Season 16 as there’s no hiding her discontent. Some fans wonder if the same thing goes on today, as they filmed the new season months ago. The answer sounds like it could be yes. Especially after a recent document surfaced regarding the third Sister Wives bride from the Kody Brown plural marriage.

Sister Wives: Christine Brown Fights Losing Battle?

The promo clip shows viewers an unsettled Christine Brown. It also suggests that she feels her marriage doesn’t have what another one of the Sister Wives ladies enjoys in their marriage. That would be Kody Brown.

Christine once shared how her husband never showered at her house. This was just a small part of why she never felt married. His attention to Christine dissipated over the years. Some might say she’s done everything in her power to attempt to get that spark back.

Christine lost a ton of weight and started dressing in a new modern style.  This is a woman who drops everything to cook for her shared husband when he’s around. But today she deems her own marriage “dysfunctional.” Although she believes that Kody does have a functional marriage without citing which wife falls into that category with their shared husband.

Christine never mentions a name. But from what you see in the Sister Wives promo, it seems to indicate that the functional marriage belongs to Robyn, as covered by Soap Dirt. In this same clip, Robyn Brown defends herself against her three Sister Wives co-wives.

TLC’s Robyn Brown Head Wife?

Robyn Brown is accused of acting like the “head” wife. Or at least it sounds this way when Kody claims that his wives look to Robyn for approval. He then screams, “I don’t have a head wife in this family!” Christine Brown admits to the Sister Wives fans that she’s pretending she’s with the family on this move, but she’s not. Although, her excuse for not wanting to move to Coyote Pass seems apparent.

She claims she’s pretending she’s on board with all of this when it comes to the other four adults in this Sister Wives’ marriage. But the problem seems to stem from Robyn and her relationship with Kody.

Celeb Suddenly Deemed Single Woman?

Reports indicate that Christine Brown sold her Flagstaff home. They have divided up the plots on Coyote Pass and it seems all are in agreeance on who gets what. So, it stands to reason they would sell the properties they own. With their finances in shambles, as Kody often reports, this would probably need to liquidate some assets to finance  building new homes.

With Truely Brown the last child at home with Christine Brown, maybe another RV will pop up on the Sister Wives’ land now that her house is sold. The rest of Christine’s brood are older. It looks as if they flew the coop to marriage, college, and life elsewhere.

This Sister Wives’ home reportedly sold for $700,000. But the grantor of the property is listed as Christine Brown. She is also listed as a “single woman” on the sale records, according to the latest reports. Last year Kody transferred the property into just Christine’s name. Reports indicate that he was on the deed as co-owner up until that point.

Sister Wives: Maybe Not So Sudden for Christine

Calling herself on paper “single woman” is something Christine might have to do legally. Although she spiritually married Kody Brown decades ago, Christine is not his legal wife.

There was a scene several seasons back where Christine melted down a bit. You might find yourself questioning if this ever got any better for Christine Brown?

So, “single woman” raises flags for fans due to the problems Christine previously had with her husband. But maybe that has nothing to do with it. This may work out as her only option because in the eyes of the law there’s no marriage here. The Sister Wives found themselves in the same boat as other polygamous marriages. In the USA, laws stipulate only one wife per husband at the same time.

Robyn Brown became the legal wife of Kody Brown after Meri Brown divorced him. She divorced him on paper only so Robyn could legally marry the man they share. Meri did this so he could adopt Robyn Brown’s three kids from her first marriage.

So, while Christine Brown calls herself a “single woman” on paper, this might not be something new. Although, after watching this new season promo, you have to ask if maybe she will show up as an unattached woman eventually. Sister Wives Season 16 kicks off Sunday, November 21 at 10 p.m. EST pm TLC.
