‘Sister Wives’: Christine Chuckles Over Irony of Robyn’s Nanny COVID Crisis
Sister Wives stars Christine Brown said she had to chuckle over Robyn Brown‘s news. When Kody Brown’s soon-to-be-ex heard Robyn’s nanny tested positive for COVID, she snarked. In the next episode, both Christine and Janelle Brown can’t help but see the irony in this.
The nanny’s husband also had a positive test come back. But before this came out, the family got together for Ariella Brown’s birthday. This now put everyone at risk as no one knew until after the party.
Christine Brown Sees Irony on Sister Wives
As she talks into the TLC camera, Robyn tells the audience that a few days after Ari’s party, she got a call. It was the nanny with the news of two positive tests. And this comes after the nanny was subject to Kody Brown’s strict protocols.
“My only obligation is my kids” translates to “My only obligation is to my kids with Robin”. I’ve also noticed that Kody refers to his WIVES now as “the Mothers” #SisterWives pic.twitter.com/Ez8iKPe9H4

With all the rules Kody put in place for his Sister Wives, it’s interesting. Christine Brown said she couldn’t help but chuckle at the irony. And Janelle used the basic same phrase calling it “ironic” too.
Both Christine, Janelle, and their kids followed CDC guidelines. Yet Kody, and wife Robyn Brown, went to extremes as far as his other wives see. They kept in a bubble. There were no visitors at Robyn’s house. Plus, they sanitized anything that came into the house.
Robyn Brown Feels Guilty Over Exposure
Everyone piles into the car to go get tested on the show. Fans learned from Kody only recently that he eventually got COVID. But he might have caught it later since there’s good news once all this comes out on Sister Wives.
On Sunday night’s show, Robyn Brown looks scared. And she says she feels guilty at the same time over the news. She also insists that they stuck to his rules. So she’s not sure how this happened to them.
This filmed over a year ago when Ari turned five. Her birthday is January 10 and she turned six this year. So, the timeline puts this right at the height of worry over the virus. Robyn said no one had a positive test after nanny-gate. But her husband got it since then.
Christine Doesn’t Blame Robyn’s Nanny on Sister Wives
When Kody wanted the family to get together at Coyote Pass for a picnic, Robyn tried to nix it. She says she was concerned about their youngest kids — Ari and Solomon. She worried they would not be able to socially distance, especially from the other kids on Sister Wives.
The youngest wife spent the day yelling to them across the prairie. It got to a point where her voice began to sound shrill. While Robyn Brown maintains that the rules are Kody’s idea, it doesn’t always look that way.
Christine&Janelle point out the irony of Robyn's household exposing every other household to covid. Robyn says she kinda feels bad, but if it would've been Christine's house or Janelle's Robyn&Kody would've lost their minds. Robyn is 💯 head wife, stop denying it. #SisterWives pic.twitter.com/aPP7tQhnjj

Either way, Robyn and her shared husband are very strict with their protocols. Still, the other Brown families used standard precautions suggested by the CDC. So, they never got so safety-minded that they barricaded themselves in the house.
Neither Christine nor Janelle blame anyone — especially the nanny. Still, they can’t help but throw shade that the strictest household was the launchpad for risk. Soap Dirt brings you the latest on the Sister Wives.
