‘Sister Wives’: Did Robyn Make Sure Christine Brown Wasn’t Needed?

Sister Wives star Robyn Brown took from Christine Brown even if she didn’t mean to. But it looks as if Christine sees some of this as purposeful. So, are things still problematic even today between them?

Robyn Brown Changes Christine Brown’s Destiny as Sister Wives?

When Robyn first joined the Brown family she had Kody Brown all to herself for a 10-day honeymoon. This left Christine Brown home with a newborn baby. At the same time, the father of that baby ran around on the beach with his new wife.

So, an interruption in that special bonding time between parents and a newborn was the start of things. But it also reminded Christine that she didn’t get much of a honeymoon. Her honeymoon consisted of a road trip for a couple of days. She remembers it as nothing special.

Christine thought her place as the third wife to Kody Brown would make her his last wife. She envisioned getting the attention from Kody that Robyn ended up with. But if that wasn’t hard enough for the former third wife, what happened next devasted her.

Christine Becomes Mom Figure for All the Brown Kids

Through the seasons, viewers of the TLC series heard tributes to Christine from the kids. Not only her biological kids but the other Brown half-siblings as well.

Her position within the Sister Wives family was the childcare provider. So, as the other adults worked, she took care of everyone’s kids before Robyn Brown’s days.

Recently the fans heard Gabriel Brown‘s tribute to Christine. He shared his fond memories of growing up with her providing childcare to him and his siblings.

Plus, the kids from this family went on to become productive adults. So, this also speaks to their upbringing. The consensus among the Brown kids seems to be she did a wonderful job.

Sister Wives Childcare Not Good Enough for Robyn?

In Season 8 of Sister Wives, Christine Brown laid it all out for Robyn Brown. Because the new wife went elsewhere for childcare, wife number three shared how this hurt her.

Up until Robyn joined the family, Christine’s job was watching the kids. But the fourth wife went outside the Sister Wives family for childcare.

Robyn had her niece from her first marriage, Mindy Jessop. move in to look after the kids. She ignored the other co-wife’s position and did her own thing. This devastated Christine. She questioned these intentions over this in the above screenshot.

The three original wives all helped raise each other’s kids. But Robyn Brown opted not to go that root. So, hurt feelings bubbled up over this. Especially from Christine, who spent years taking care of all the Brown offspring.

Intimacy With One and Not Other of Sister Wives

The latest piece of Christine’s life to fall into Robyn’s court is the love of her shared husband. Fans learned this season that Kody no longer wants intimacy with the mom of six.

But at the same time, he shares that part of himself with Robyn Brown. So, from where Christine sits, she sees Kody’s youngest wife as the problem. She addresses this in the next Sister Wives episode.

It seems that Robyn did things a bit differently since joining the family. Whether it was unintentional or not, she took away some of Christine’s glory. Also, according to The Sun, Robyn said the other spouses chose to stay away.

But it looks like the lack of intimacy with Kody Brown delivered the final blow for Christine Brown. Robyn Brown has him and she doesn’t. A sad Christine points this out on this week’s show.
