Return to Amish: Jeremiah Raber’s Birth Dad Revealed
Jeremiah Raber grew up in the Amish community. The Return to Amish cast member was adopted into the lifestyle at a young age. However, he never felt that he fit in. He also knew that there was more out there than living under strict rules. So, Jeremiah left the community. Since then, he has been on a mission to be reunited with his birth family. Jeremiah didn’t have a good reunion with his biological mother. So, he attempted to find his biological father.
The Return to Amish reality star hit a lot of roadblocks on his search for his birth father. Jeremiah Raber met a man who he thought was his dad. But, a DNA test revealed that it wasn’t a match. However, he did get a break in his search. Jeremiah found out that his father’s name is Larry Hiltabidel. Unfortunately, his birth dad was murdered. Jeremiah’s mother had supposedly had an affair with her sister’s husband, resulting in a pregnancy. So, he believes his aunt killed his father when she found out.
However, Jeremiah Raber did get some good news. He found out he had biological cousins that were willing to meet him. He felt that he had met people who made him feel like he belonged. But, there was one family member who couldn’t wait to meet Jeremiah — his grandmother. The TLC star is currently in Las Vegas, meeting her for the first time in person.
Jeremiah Gets Tribute Tattoo for Father
Jeremiah Raber never got the chance to meet his father. The Return to Amish castmate’s parent passed away 40 years ago at the age of 24. It was hard for him to find out that his father was not alive. He was hoping that he could have a father-son bond with him. But, it seems like Jeremiah does hold his father close to his heart. He recently showed how much he loves his dad by getting a tattoo in remembrance of him.
The Return to Amish TLC star’s new ink is of his father’s last name, Hiltabidel. Jeremiah Raber also got the day his father was born and died underneath it. He now has a permanent reminder of the man who gave him life. Jeremiah may not have been raised with the Hiltabidel last name but, his new ink shows where his family roots begin.

Many fans believe that Jeremiah Raber’s tattoo is a great way to honor his father. One person said that it is sad that he never got to meet his dad, but this ink means “he will always be a part of” him.
