Virginia Coombs of MAFS said she was really nervous as her marriage date came closer. Despite this, she said she still worked hard to get down the aisle. Right before the wedding, all of the grooms and brides had to take a COVID-19 test. Virginia had to take hers before marrying Erik Lake, and it came back positive.
Married at First Sight wife Virginia didn’t think she had COVID. It made her even more nervous than just going straight to the wedding. She took multiple other tests just to prove that she wasn’t sick. Finally, she was able to convince them that it was a false positive, and she was able to walk down the aisle to Erik.
The crazy thing was that Married at First Sight husband Erik Lake didn’t know any of this was happening. Neither Virginia nor Erik knew what would happen if either of them couldn’t make it. They said it was so crazy to think that a few changes would have meant they might not have ever met. Whatever the case, they are very happy that Virginia Coombs was able to push through and get on the show.
MAFS: Erik Lake’s Mom’s Thoughts on Virginia
Married at First Sight husband Erik Lake told his mother he would marry his wife the first time he ever saw her. It would only be two weeks from the time he told her, and fans wondered what she thought. Erik’s family is very traditional, so they had some worries about how things would turn out. His mom worried he might not feel an attraction to his new wife.
Erik’s mother then said she stopped worrying about it on the wedding day. When Married at First Sight wife Virginia Coombs came down the aisle, Erik grinned ear-to-ear. She said she loved seeing his face light up like that and she felt glad he matched with Virginia.
Lifetime’s Kevin Frazier, the host of Married at First Sight, did his best to get some dirt. Erik Lake’s mom said she loves Virginia, and she believes they are falling in love. Virginia Coombs and Erik Lake laughed. They’ve been saying, “I love you,” for a long time now.

Fans of Married at First Sight loved seeing how happy Virginia Coombs and Erik Lake were. They both had no doubts that they wanted to stay married. Virginia said she’s always been afraid of relationships, but it seems like she feels safe with Erik.
Married at First Sight couple Erik and Virginia said they still have a lot to figure out. They have some very different views on the world, but they are working to communicate. They said their main challenge was learning how to say what they need to without being offensive. Erik Lake said it was especially difficult for him to say what he needed to say. He did know he came off as mean and controlling on the show – which he didn’t mean to.
Viewers of Married at First Sight were glad to hear Virginia Coombs moved into the condo. They changed things up, so the place looked more like their space instead of just his space. They do plan on getting a place together at some point so it can be theirs instead of his.
