‘Married at First Sight’: 5 Top Reasons Gil & Myrla Will Split

Married at First Sight star Gil was hopeful for a great match. MAFS fans don’t think he and Myrla are the right match, and we have the top reasons why they will split.

1. Married at First Sight: Myrla ‘Distracted’ By Gil’s Bald Head

Myrla had a long list of must-haves and hopes for Pastor Cal Roberson and the rest of the Married at First Sight experts. She was very upfront that she knew what she wanted but that she would be open. One of the things she said she would not be open about was a man with a bald head.

Married at First Sight wife Myrla said she couldn’t pay attention if her man had a bald head. The problem was that when she started walking down the aisle – glaring back at her – was Gil’s bald head. Fans watched through their fingers when Myrla saw Gil, even though most of them thought he looked gorgeous.

Myrla from Married at First Sight played it off very well that she couldn’t keep her eyes off Gil’s head. Later, she said it did distract her a little bit, and then she focused on his bright smile. Viewers aren’t sure that will be enough to keep her eyes off his dome.

2. Myrla’s Picture Wall – Of Herself

Married at First Sight wifey Myrla doesn’t hide how awesome she thinks she looks. In fact, she even has a wall of photos of herself half-naked on her wall. The problem with this is that Gil said he did not want to date the Instagram model type.

Gil and the rest of the Married at First Sight husbands agreed that there wasn’t anything wrong with Insta models. However, they didn’t want to marry one and asked specifically that the experts avoid them. Viewers said they aren’t sure how many followers Myrla has, but it’s probably more than Gil would like.

Dr. Pepper Schwartz and the other experts from Married at First Sight think Myrla will put photos of her and her husband up soon. She didn’t have anyone else to be in the photos with her, so why not photos of herself? Myrla told Gil she wanted to go to Columbia to visit where he’s from, and he said he would. So, maybe they will get some photos together there.

3. Married at First Sight: Gil Wants a Down to Earth Lady

Gil of Married at First Sight is a firefighter and proud of it. As a matter of fact, he said when he tells ladies that – they really love it. It doesn’t seem like he’s had a problem with the ladies, but he’s looking for something serious.

Married at First Sight hubby Gil didn’t mention much about how his new lady should look. He focused on asking for someone that is a good person. However, he did say he wanted someone that enjoys spending a lot of time in the bedroom.

Some of the experts think their bedroom chemistry can get Gil past some of the things Myrla does. That may be the case, but not everyone agrees that would make things last for the long haul.

4. Myrla Doesn’t Like Dogs

On MAFS, Myrla froze in fear when she found out about Gil’s dog. The person marrying them said she was a new mom to a dog. Her first reaction was to ask if the dog drooled, and Gil assured her that his baby did not drool.

Myrla apologized to all the dog moms and dads watching Married at First Sight. She said she didn’t like dogs and didn’t want them in her space. Myrla asked Gil if his dog sheds a lot, and he said he wouldn’t lie and that he did shed a lot.

Gil told Myrla that he kept up after it because he was a neat freak about it. Myrla didn’t quite seem convinced, and some fans said that would be a dealbreaker for them.

5. Married at First Sight: Gil is ‘A Stranger’

Before walking down the aisle, Myrla’s friends asked her about a wedding day kiss. Myrla looked like they said something terrifying, and she said there would be no kiss. They asked her why not, and she said it was because he is a stranger.

Married at First Sight viewers worried that it might be another Miles Williams and Karen Landry of Lifetime situation. However, some people said they understand how she feels and respect her feelings on the matter.
