Married At First Sight: Clare Kerr Blindsided over Margaritas – Recap [S17E09]
On Married At First Sight, Clare Kerr is stunned when Cameron Frazer blurts out that his dad doesn’t know he’s married over margaritas with friends. Brennan Shoykhet moves in with Emily Balch but he’s sure to pack light. Austin and Becca Haley stay the course but cracks are definitely appearing. Married At First Sight: Clare Kerr Shocked at Cameron Frazer’s Confession
On Married At First Sight, Clare Kerr confirms that living with Cameron Frazer has been easy so far. They run on different bathroom and shower schedules. And are pretty easy going with each other. Clare even packs up a sandwich to surprise Cameron with some lunch at his work. He’s pretty excited to see her. And even puts her to work helping him repair a bike. Clare is impressed with his skill and passion.
Later the MAFS couple prepare for their house party, Clare has decided on a theme of “anything but the cup”. Meaning you can imbibe out of anything including a saucepan as long as it’s not a cup. Clare Kerr stresses when Cameron bounces in without the food. She’s a little panicked but he promises to order up some grub. He does it a little too early though. So, Clare isn’t happy when the empanadas and nachos dry out in the oven before the guests arrive.

Clare Kerr is a little thrown off on Married At First Sight when he admits his friends aren’t coming. Cameron is a little on edge that all her friends who are coming are therapists. He doesn’t want to be psychoanalyzed. But kind of walks right into it when he admits to Clare’s friend that his dad doesn’t know he’s married. Because he’s on his deathbed. This is news to Clare who brings it up later. Cameron admits he avoided the question at the wedding. And this is one big red flag for Clare.
MAFS Couple Brennan Shoykhet and Emily Balch Move in Together
As the Married At First Sight couple count dwindles, Brennan Shoykhet and Emily Balch seem to be on thin ice. The pair sputtered once the honeymoon was over. More because Brennan got chilly and implied he wasn’t feeling the attraction. He suggested a break before they moved in together. But after a sit down with Pastor Cal Roberson, he agreed to move in. It didn’t take long for Brennan to be irritated with Emily on moving day.
While he packed just enough for an overnight, Emily packed for the long haul. Brennan seems annoyed by the boxes of cleaning supplies and snacks. He perks up a little when they go shopping for their party. They decide on the theme of wigs. And Brennan chooses a short blonde wig that looks like a toddler’s haircut. But in his mind he thinks it transforms him into a surfer dude named Jimmy. And drops words like gnarly and dude in a strange accent. Sorry Brennan it was a miss all around.

Married At First Sight couple Brennan and Emily Balch have two friends each show to the party. Everyone relaxes with some vodka and puts on wigs. Later Emily’s friends and Brennan argue on what his motivation is in the marriage. Of course they are still wearing wigs which makes it more ridiculous. Pink wig friend goes after Brennan Shoykhet hard accusing him of not being into the process. Lime green wig is a bit more diplomatic. But Brennan/ Jimmy the surfer dude still feels attacked.
Married At First Sight: Becca Haley and Austin Are Cruising Along
Fun loving Becca Haley and Austin are happy with their first party. They clean up and chow down on leftover pizza. Becca is sure to tell Austin that she really enjoyed hanging out with his friends. She was a little surprised that his friend revealed that religious differences really haven’t held much weight in his past relationships and decisions. Becca confides to her friends that she’s ready for the next step of intimacy, but for now she’s letting him take the lead.

Married At First couple Orion Martzloff and Lauren G. make a cameo in the wake of their early season divorce. They appear separately of course. he grabs a beer with a friend and admits he had strong feelings for Lauren. It just didn’t work out the way he wanted. She confides to family that she would’ve been willing to hang on a little longer. But supports his decision. It looks like they will join the others next week as the Denver drama rolls on.
