Clara Fergus and her Married at First Sight husband Ryan Oubre sat down with host Kevin Frazier for the MAFS Reunion episode. Kevin wasted no time getting to the heart of the matter by asking if they were still married. Not only are they still together, but Clara said they had some exciting news.
Clara Fergus revealed to fans of Married at First Sight that she and Ryan Oubre are planning to renew their vows. Due to the pandemic, they weren’t allowed to have a big celebration with all their friends. They missed being able to party with as many friends and family as possible.
Kevin asked if they just wanted to show that the Married at First Sight experiment worked? Ryan Oubre said they were going against the naysayers who said they wouldn’t make it, like Kevin Frazier, for instance. Before the 12th season premiere, Kevin gave Ryan and Clara Fergus a thumbs down, but he said he was happy to be wrong during the Reunion episode.
MAFS: Ryan Made a Heartfelt Declaration
Kevin Frazier, the Married at First Sight Reunion host, asked Ryan Oubre directly if he and Clara Fergus had said they loved each other yet. The answer was no. Kevin asked Ryan if he loved Clara. After one of his signature pauses, Ryan turned to Clara and said he thought he did. Clara burst into a huge smile and asked in a surprised voice whether he loved her?
Ryan confirmed with, “I love you.” After the couple kissed, Kevin asked how much that meant to her. Clara previously said on Married at First Sight that if he hadn’t said the words by the time they’d been together for six months or so, she was out.
Clara said she felt like she knew he was in love with her from his actions, even if he didn’t say the words yet. She said Ryan Oubre didn’t make big romantic gestures, but he did all the little things to take care of her. Therefore, Clara Fergus said she knew how Ryan felt for a long time before now on Married at First Sight.
Married at First Sight: Clara Joked About Intimacy
Another big secret about Clara Fergus’ marriage to Ryan Oubre on Married at First Sight has been whether they consummated their relationship. Early on, Ryan asked Clara to keep their private life private, and she agreed. That didn’t stop her from venting to the other MAFS women one right about her feelings toward their intimate moments.
Once Ryan told Clara he loved her, Kevin then addressed the next big issue for Married at First Sight fans. He asked the couple point-blank whether they’d yet been intimate. Clara Fergus laughed and said maybe that was their plan for that night. Ryan Oubre chuckled and said they watched tv a few nights before. Neither would come out and say yes or no, and the host thanked them for keeping it classy.
For all the conflict shown on camera between Clara Fergus and her new husband, Ryan Oubre, the two seem to be comfortable with each other now. Clara sat with her hand on Ryan’s knee while he had his arm around her. They also laughed and said they preferred not having the Married at First Sight cameras around all the time.
