June Shannon reveals there is a misunderstanding. The Mama June: Road to Redemption star says there is a lot about Alana’s custody that everyone is unaware of. Because of this, she feels she is being unfairly judged.
First, the WEtv star states that everything is not as entirely as it seems. She says she is tired of being accused of being the bad guy in this situation. People think she “lost” custody, but it’s not quite that simple.

Per the court’s decision, Lauryn Efird was granted sole custody of her sister Alana Thompson. Shannon says she can call her daughter every day.
She also pays Lauryn $800 per month in child support until Alana’s 18th birthday in August 2023. She also admits that Alana going to live with Lauryn was the best decision at that time, and now it is just easier.
Mama June Says Recent Marriage Not Affecting Relationship with Her Children
