Doubling Down with the Derricos‘ Deon Derrico and Karen Derrico blew fan’s minds by saying multiples make it easier. Viewers of the new TLC show don’t think there is anything easy about having eleven children and three on the way.
Doubling Down with the Derricos: Karen Derrico Puts Everyone In Birth Order
Fans can’t imagine how they keep everyone in line. Even people with two or three children have problems keeping it together. But when you have eleven that are so young?
One of the ways Doubling Down with the Derricos‘ stars Deon Derrico and wife Karen keep on track is birth order. They use the order of birth to line up their kids and to keep track of everything. All of the kids know their place, so no one is forgotten or left behind.
Karen Derrico shared about their bedtime routine. She showed all of the kids rushing to the bathroom to get their toothbrushes. All of the toothbrushes were around the sink. And of course, they were all lined up in by the normal order.
Deon Says He Can Handle the Kids
When Karen from Doubling Down with the Derricos had to go to the hospital for bed rest, Deon said he could take care of the kids and get his work done. A few of the daughters were upset about Karen staying at the hospital for so long. But Deon didn’t seem to let it bother him.
Deon Derrico didn’t want his wife to worry, but you could tell she was still nervous. She said that she knew he had to do this to protect her unborn babies. But the mother knew that she was going to miss some milestones with all the other kids.
One of the things she worried about was that they wouldn’t get to their activities. But Deon assured her that he could take care of it, and the Doubling Down with the Derricos crew would get to where they need to be.
Doubling Down with the Derricos: Why Multiples Is Best
When fans of Doubling Down with the Derricos heard Karen and Deon say multiples is best, they had to do a double-take. How could having more than one child at a time make things easier? The parents, thankfully, did go on to explain why.
Karen and her husband, Deon, said they learned from each other. In fact, they said that they wouldn’t even teach their kids certain things. And then they would notice the others teaching each other how to do something.
The kids all help each other out with their chores in the home. It’s all about everyone pitching in together, or nothing will get done. The kids look like they are more than happy to help out the family.
