‘Bold and the Beautiful’: Twists Jack’s Career – Doctor for Lawyer?

Bold and the Beautiful seemed to suggest that Jack Finnegan is a physician up until this week on the CBS soap. Much like his wife and son, B&B seemed to allude to doctors running in the family. But that’s not the case.

Well, this week we finally found out that Jack does save lives like the rest of his little family. But he definitely goes about it in a much different way than a medical professional would.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Confusion About Jack Finnegan

Jack Finnegan (Ted King) became a man of mystery from the day he showed up on B&B. His wife, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) seems refined, and in a different league than her husband.

It didn’t take long for Bold and the Beautiful viewers to find out that Jack was a doctor’s husband. So, Li’s profession became very clear. But B&B hung a cloud of mystery over her husband’s line of work.

Jack seems a little rough around the edges. So, fans suggested a few different careers that seemed to fit his personality. Some fans thought Jack might be a hard-nosed cop or another Bold and the Beautiful police detective.

Then others saw him as sinister and possibly working for the opposite team. They suggested he could be one of those guys who make offers that you can’t refuse, like someone in organized crime. But then Li seemed to clear this up.

B&B Spoilers: Li Finnegan Praised But Not Jack

The Bold and the Beautiful fans learned early on that Li is a doctor. Then a few storylines had her use her skills to save lives. So, there’s no doubt there.

For a while there some viewers assumed that both husband and wife were physicians. Especially since their son, Finn, became a doctor as well.

But John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) said a few things that threw a cloud of doubt over Jack’s career choice. A couple of times on Bold and the Beautiful, Finn said he followed in the footsteps of his mom when becoming a doctor.

This surprised fans because if her hubby was also a physician, then he’d likely credit both. At the time things were still good between father and son. Finn didn’t know yet that Jack was really his biological father.

But Then Li seems to suggest that Jack is a doctor. This happened during a trying time for her on B&B.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Lawyer Saves Lives but Not with Scalpel

Li seemed to allude to Jack being a doctor during a conversation with him. Back when she first learned that her husband had an affair, she asked questions.

One of the questions she had for her cheating husband was – did this happen at the hospital? So, many fans assumed the two worked together at a hospital at one time.

So, once again many of the Bold and the Beautiful viewers thought that Li’s husband was a doctor. It seemed that Li’s question cleared that up. Why else would he be at the hospital having his affair if he didn’t work there?

His affair of course was with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). She is a nurse, who probably worked there at the time. But that wasn’t mentioned in that conversation.

So, this week Bold and the Beautiful cleared this all up when Sheila came out and said he was one of the most sought-after criminal defense lawyers in California.

This means that the doctor’s husband doesn’t need a scalpel to save lives, his magic is applied in the courtroom. Since he’s so in demand, he’s likely saved many from the electric chair or life in prison. So while Jack Finnegan saves lives, he goes about it a bit differently than Li Finnegan and their son on the CBS soap.
